if you use only type c cable and connect to the computer then you can charge at the same time but with the ethernet adapter you can only share internet faster no charging feature.

I tried an Ethernet adapter on my android device last night and it worked perfectly. I was able to get 100 MB/s download speed.

Only problem... some ISP wont let you share internet unless you enable hotspot first and then ethernet tethering. I tried this method and it wont work.
