@@itswell2880 my resident permit is for two years (which span through my master's program) though I will only spend a year at the campus in Helsinki-Finland, while I complete my remaining semester at Berlin - Germany. The tuition for my study period in Finland is free i.e a full scholarship of 1500€, but my proof of Fund for other things is 6720€.

It depends on your families ability to proof that you can support your living and who you count as family etc. Details are available from the Finnish immigration service website (Migri) who is also the authority who will process residence permit applications.

Hi, send an email quickly to the student services or admission services requesting for a certificate of student status, make sure you do that before the middle of June because school staffs will be going for summer holiday soon. The region to choose from is east Helsinki (myllypuro, kontula, itäkeskus etc) HOAS has houses around these region and I am sure they will give you something for sure

Who are those "no one" who isn't talking? Perhaps you don't follow relevant Finnish news media or political discussions at all? Finland has always been prepared to defend. During the last years Finland has made decisions like updating navy ships and fighters in the air force. There are also other additional investments to defense capacity and capabilities. There is also modernization of legislation to be ready for hybrid type attacks as has been seen in the Poland/Belarus border. There are additional overall resiliency activities and plans, but Finland has always been doing it. One perhaps practically smaller but in principally important activity going on in Finland and Sweden are discussions and political decision making about "upgrading" NATO partnership to membership. Finland is a member of the EU, which has security related agreement supporting members. Finland has several defense related bilateral partnerships with several countries. The deepest defence collaboration is with Sweden.

Today the EU energy ministers had a meeting about the Russian demand of different payment currency for natural gas from the one which is in the agreement. These seems to be problems at least with Germany and Hungary. Finland is supporting to follow just the agreement even though Russia has announced that it will stop deliveries, if it's demand is not followed. Finland is expecting gas deliveries to stop in the later part of this month. It will have unfortunate consequences to some factories and consumers. Finland is taking steps and supports getting the whole EU rid of the dependency from all Russian energy.

@@monicanjiofor394 If you're asking about Russian natural gas from the Finnish point of view: Finland has not been getting gas from Russia for some time. Many consumers have switch to other forms of energy but all haven't been able to do it. They will depend on LNG deliveries. Indirect economic effects from the rest of the EU to Finnish energy market prices seems to have bigger effect. There are other factors effecting the market prices like: some power stations in Sweden and Finland have been in maintenance, heat waves is France had effect on power production, there has been below average rainfall in some areas giving less waterpower, some electricity futures trading rules have been difficult in unusual situations etc.
