Rumor has it that all of kevin o'learys employees saw this and decided to quit their jobs and become " owners of the store" as well. Thanks kevin!

That's not a bad thing. There will always be scrapers willing to take your job. Are you going to give up that job or allow your fears abd self doubt to put up with nonsense 🤔.

Cool story but the reality is when you become self-employed you end up working for your clients who can be just as demanding as a boss/manager/owner.

Rather be getting thousands of £ from demanding clients then £7.50 (minimum wage for a 25yr old) from a demanding manager

But you choose your clients and if they ask you to do stuff you don't want to do, you tell them that's not what you do! Referring them to someone else smoothen out that convo.

Scrap gum? I would've said no as well. Actually, there have been a few jobs where my employers knew I worked hard and tried to give me more responsibilities than everyone else, like clean an entire storage facility by myself. One employer, for example, took me into a 3,000 square foot room and said, "I have big plans for this place. I want you to clean it up." Me? He wants me to do all this while my co-workers sit on their lazy butts, and he still wants to pay me the same as them. I remained quiet as he boasted about his plans. When he was finally silent, I said, "Sir, I quit." He jolted back and stared at me dumbfounded. "Oh, when do you want to quit?" "Right now." "Oh...okay then. Well..." Not wasting another moment, I left. 🤣👍👌 Maybe he thought I desperately needed that job or something and didn't have enough dignity to stand up for myself.

SCRAPE, not scrap. Scrap rhymes with map and nap. scrape rhymes with grape. It's the difference between a long A and a short A sound.

For real. Dude straight up said he doesn’t want people who prefer a work/life balance working for his company. He just wants to make money off their backs while he sails on his yacht.

Kevin O’Leary, the original snowflake can’t seem to grasp the basics of working at an ice cream shop. Warren Buffett would have turned that shop into Baskin Robbins.

It sounds a bit too much like Prince's Raspberry Beret song(kzfaq.info/get/bejne/op2mhbamxN3Xfpc.html) to be real. In the song, Prince rides a bike to a store where he works. His boss hates him. Prince sees a girl he really likes. He abandons his job to run off with her. It seems like Kevin O'Leary took that story, removed the raspberry beret and added the gum scraping.

Perhaps the better moral of the story... Show your workers how work is done. Like Elon musk. If you really appreciate a clean floor scrape it with your staff... That's a good boss

Something is wrong about this attitude towards work. In one video he makes a point that every work is equally valuable and respected. Here he says that if he did scrape the floor that day, it would be beneath him. Guess the answer is that he was a kid.
