This went almost exactly as the "Over the Moo" non-dairy ice-cream. Impressive pitch, impressive, young guy pitching. They loved the product, then a shark asked "Do you have the IP". "No, my supplier does". Janine tells him that as soon as he's successful the supplier will just double the price. Everyone out in minutes. But with this one, there was a surprise ending. High evaluations lead to higher investor equity. Entrepreneurs who want to keep equity should ask for loans. Personally, I would prefer a shark with a high equity stake in my company. They will probably quadrouple the value either way, and invest more of their time to shape the business.

its still his busniess you dont have to Own an IP to be registered as running your own busniess. example I do ubereats I count that as my own busniness am I going to make 200k year? hell No but its still my Business. being my own boss. I have an ABN and I do my own taxes under the ubereats banner.
@Ragnar0321
@Ragnar0321 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheAazah no it's not your business your en employee of uber company. Just because you file taxes like that dosent mean is YOUR business. A business is YOURS if you own it out right or the IP. Example apple own iPhones just like Samsung owns galaxy.

@Wist_Je_Dat 4 жыл бұрын
@@Ragnar0321 you're misinformed on that one. I have a company that sells waterbottles for dogs (and some other products but that one is our key product). My manufacturer in China holds the IP, but it's being private labelled and the product is slightly adjusted to my own idea. So I have a brand, a little adjusted product and a company without owning the IP.

@@Ragnar0321 -.- you're such an simpleton. I'm in the gig economy. Me working for uber is self employment. So we're an partnership. I can work my own hours and work as often or not at all if I wanted to. I can pick and choose my work. Uber doesn't tell me what to do. And again you need an ABN, GST tax form every month ( granted I haven't worked since last year because of convid and I went on holidays for Christmas.) If I was employed by them I would be working right now. Lol Just because I have an partnership and not owning an IP doesn't mean it's not my business. Think of it this way. In your mind you have people owning and running macdonald's restaurants ( franchisees) they dont own an IP to macdonalds but they run the restaurant like their business owners because they have to. That's how it works. Please don't be too stupid to breath.
