Start-ups generally don't pay people in her position like managers, CFO, etc in straight cash, it's usually at least part equity because they don't have the funds in the early days of the business to afford someone outside at that level. Dude's just being exploiting his sister for cheap labor.

@@helix9268Because pretty faces shouldn't get payed too? She is selling to the sharks, ambassadorships and/or marketing hires are expensive. If she is the face of the brand, she should get payed to do so. She sold the product better than him, It's easy to assess who is a good operator. But if you can start a business, since you're probably like the brother anyway, let me know so I can laugh at you.

Asking for only 10% of the company when she had a great chance to ask for more cuz all the sharks were really supportive towards her, shows how much she cared about her brother and the cause but not the shares of the company. He seems really worried when they asked HER how much she want to own the company 😂. Even if the idea would be only his but she is putting her time, efforts and expertise in it too. 😌 She deserves it ❤

Making products from recycled material should be profitable, but over $100 for a sweater isn’t in most people’s budget Even for people who actively look for products that are better for the environment Also the “We haven’t even thought about (giving her a share) yet” is a complete lie, if she’s there helping you from the start and she’s a part of your pitch on Shark Tank she should’ve already had a share Quit saying “we” when you’re the one who owns it all without even considering your sister to be a business partner

Do the producers of the show not ever try to knock some reality into the valuations before letting people in the tank? Like this was a compelling business doing something innovative but they came in with such an absurd that they never really were going to get a deal. This happens so often in Shark tank where a company comes in and gives themself like a 10x on a company that is worth like a 1.5x at most.

I'm not saying force anyone, but just a helpful: "Your valuation is bonkers, the sharks will just rip you apart and you will never get a deal. Maybe watch a few episodes to get an idea..."

Guy seems sooo internally frustrated he even had to do that. Then at the end whispers in her ear and says SHE made the final decision! What is this man child high on? Oh and then when she seems happy at the end, she says "I made a deal!" and he says yeah but we will keep that in the family WHAT! Dude wont give her a damn dime.
