OPEN ME FOR SONG INFO =^.^=
I am in love with all the music from Shadowbringers, but particularly this! There's so much to be done with it and I was really inspired by a comment left on my "Shadowbringers" cover from Snootsnoot "Jeez... I loved the original a lot, but this just... it's chilling. It has that mournful edge, like something you would hear the people of the First sing in the first days after the Flood, maybe." I thought about "The Dawn Will Come" from Dragon Age: Inquisition and that only added to my eagerness to create something mournful yet hopeful. Oh...and those end lyrics...I searched high and low, going through people's rendition of the lyrics and a there were many varying lines. "In time, time whirling, turning, we make amends, Eternal winds to the land descend, Here to lift us the new world's end." "The eternal winds throughout the land I'll send
Here to lift us that we would end". In the actual end though, I relied on my own ears and interpreted those lines of lyrics as I heard them. Here's hoping they're correct!
"Tomorrow and Tomorrow" is one of the main themes and the ending theme of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, composed by Masayoshi Soken. The lyrics were written by Michael-Christopher Koji Fox and Natsuko Ishikawa, and the vocals provided by Amanda Achen-Keenan."

God this sounds so good....definite chills, you nailed the emotion of this song. FF14 music with lyrics generally has something to do with the story, but in this case, there's more than one character this could be sentiment from. I want to think it's Emet Selch's thoughts in the end, and damn if it doesn't have me wondering who our characters were originally, obviously someone he knew very well.

Spoilers! - - - - We've gotten a huge hint in Amarot ( forgot the spelling atm). I can't remember the name fully, but the first four letters were Hyth. They were friends with Emet, but it was suggested that they were one of the ones who summoned Hydalyn and was the 14th member to summon Zodiark. The song to me sounds a lot like the perspective of Hyth To Emet, basically you to him. Also Tomorrow and Tomorrow pops up twice in the storyline, both with the Exarch, so it also feels like the meaning can even have relation to him as well.

I think different bits of this song are in povs of different characters For whom weeps the storm - Ardbert Stand tall - G’raha From those who’ve fallen - Ancients Edit: I’ve thought on it more and decided to interpret the 2 different “stand tall” verses, I think the first one is around the time where you talk to G’raha/Exarch in Kholusia and he said he wished he could go on an adventure with you and “we would take to the skies upon the eternal wind” hence “eternal winds to the land descend” and “our journey will never end”. I think the second one takes place later on and he has come to peace that he needs to make his sacrifice, but he is ready, explaining the major key, and he wants you to remember him, explaining “eternal winds to the land ascend here to lift us that we won’t end”.

I think this song tells the tragic tale of the Ascians and how they gave everything for what they wanted. They just want to go home.

I felt this song could also kinda work for G'raha, the people from his timeline and the people of the First/Crystarium, I always felt the "Stand tall my friend" was kinda us speaking to him, how he's forever held all the burdens of fixing a broken timeline without a shed of pride, merely seeing himself as a bystander in a hero's story, when he's so much, much more. That said, I do definitely feel it's even more towards Emet and Ascians, all other lines works for the previous except this one "Pray don't forget us your bygone kin", which is Emet's own wish. The "Stand tall my friend" can also direct at Emet, as in our character's previous life as Ascian before being split, it seems to suggest we were a good friend of his, and ever was his back always hunched over, likely from all the burdens, until the end where he could finally stand tall.

SPOILER END OF SHADOWBRINGERS : - - - Try also to think about the song from the point of view of the Amaurotines, especially the ones that summoned Hydaelyn. Shadowbringers too from the point of view of the Ascians.

The phrase: "Look to those who walked before to lead those who walk after" crops up again as well (From 'Answers', the main theme of A Realm Reborn, which is the song of lament of the dragons who, in their despair, summoned Bahamut and yet fell and were enslaved). It's a running theme in the game all the way through: Learning of the past, of the strength and conviction of heroes, peoples and civilizations lost, their triumphs and mistakes, and learning from them to do a little better this time around.
