@jnorthe4 жыл бұрын
@@QueeshaMaree to an ounce of oil start off by adding 10 to 15 drops of peppermint oil. Do a patch test on your scalp making sure no adverse reactions. You can do a hot oil treatment using olive oil, peppermint, rosemary, ylang. I use to rinse my hair with warm water prior to shampooing then and 5 drops of peppermint/rosemary and 3 drops of ylang to a carrier oil, after applying to my scalp and hair use a plastic bag and a hot towel heated from the dryer. Let it sit for 15 min then shampoo and condition. I'm dandruff free and no longer have use for these practices.

I’ve been missing out al these years! My hair was sooo SOFT, easy to detangle and moisturized beyond belief . I am using this EVERY WEEK and am seeing promising results. I don't know how I ran across the video about the Aloe Vera juice but it was about two months ago. But anyway, I went out and bought the exact brand of juice and put half and half with water and used it to detangle my hair and I would spray my hair and scalp with it every day after first using JBCO and I can not believe how moisturize my hair has been. I have used so many products since going natural eight years ago, and none of them left my hair feeling moisturized or soft until I started using the Aloe Vera juice. Now when I take down my twists my hair isn't matted together, it just comes apart, I love it and will continue using it, great video.

@rgood15915 жыл бұрын
I use it daily . I have very course dry hair . So I put it on semi dry clean hair working it in and massaging on my scalp . I ussaullly spray it in . Even on days I don't shampoo. I do cheat a bit. On days I don't wash I will spray on lightly and use the fruit of the earth clear aloe Vera gel on top of it to sort of seal the shaft. I could see the gel getting kind of flaky if I used too much. I have seen people who use the gel straight from the leaf sometimes have this problem. Fruit of the earth is a bit deceptive in that there gel says it's 100 percent gel. Well it is 100 percent gel but it is made from aloe juice and a thickener if you read the ingredients. I consider it more like a hair gel for my purpose or a sealant. I use the gel on my face for the same purpose when not wearing makeup.

@rosegold.sunset47495 жыл бұрын
Aloe vera has a more acidic pH (close to our hair's natural pH ~4.5-5.5) so it should be used after you shampoo/condition. Products with lower pH should be used after we wash since shampoos and pre-poos are alkaline. Think of it as going from 7 to 4 on the pH scale - esp if you have low porosity hair. I've started a new regiment based on pH and I noticed an immediate difference! I dilute my aloe vera juice so its not too acidic and use it as my liquid in the LCO method.

Honestly, the products that I have found to work best on my hair are natural products such as aloe vera juice or rosewater. For the most part, I think a lot of the over the counter products causes some type of buildup that in the long run causes your hair to dry out. I personally use genle sulfate free cleansers or co washes, no conditioners, and rosewater as a leave in and a natural oil. My hair sustains moisture throughout the week.

I do Aloe Vera Juice, Rose Water, Glycerine, Rosemary, Peppermint, and lavender essential oil as a refresher spray and my hair and scalp loves this mixture I prefer to use humectant based products because my hair cannot stand oil based products like some people can oils block moisture from getting into my strands and my hair is medium porosity so it over absorbs oils and causes my strands to dry from the inside out vs humectants that pull moisture from the air and keep my strands hydrated. TIP: If your someone who deals with extreme dryness and brittle hair and you use a lot of oils try to use humectant based products instead with glycerin or some kind of humectant because you might be like me and your hair absorbs oils so well that it blocks moisture from getting in. Oils are great for sealing moisture for certain hair porositys but it also can block out moisture as well I think that happends to alot of naturals more often than not and they don't realize the oils they're using to seal moisture in are really blocking moisture from getting in causing the hair to dry from the inside out. Alot of naturals think they're low porosity when its really the oils they use repelling the water giving a false sense of having low porosity hair I use to think i was low porosity due to always using a bunch of oils to seal then i discovered I was actually sealing the moisture out.

*THIS*! This is my absolutely favorite combo. I love, love, love it. Heritage Store makes a rosewater and glycerin mix I like, but you can buy rosewater (or make it) and glycerin separately (don't make that, people will think you're making an explosive or something when you get those ingredients lol) and much cheaper. I put maybe 1 oz of the rosewater l/glycerin in an 8oz spray bottle, 4-5 oz AVJ, and tap water in the rest of the bottle and shake before spraying. It smells divine even without essential oils because of the rose and my hair is super soft, even softer than my AVJ, glycerin, and water spritz. The rosewater does *work*.

looks like I'm about to run down to Walmart and pick it up so I can try it out because my hair needs the moisture so much right now

And it's not expensive. For that size I believe I paid $7.00

I'm a van dweller, I wash My hair with aloe vera juice, spray on and comb, then rub with a towel. I wash My face with aloe gel, the rest of My body I use "Bananna Boat after sun", I do water it down with 1/3 water, use a white towel, You'll be amazed at how clean it gets You. No need for Homeless People to stink.

I am taking aloe vera juice straight up for acid reflux. Never thought of mixing with a sports drink etc. Thanks for the tips..
