@@NEEDbacon That form of social altruism is what makes Japan special. Putting others comfort over your own to such an extent is something remarkable. But it also is a bane to the individuals if they do it out of compulsion to fit into society or to keep up appearances. Working to point where they suicide is one such negative side effect that takes place due to this behaviour.

@@NEEDbacon This is possible, but if you look at Japanese KZfaq creators, they don't frequently use power tools when building things anyways because for some reason nobody buys them to use them. It's possible that it's because most apartments have paper-thin walls, but it could also be the expense or worthwhileness of power tools.
