Kids with cancer have a message for you: shaving your head is lousy... BUT shaving PT Dan's head? Different Story!
Head shaves are pretty common for my patients. They usually have to brave the shave because the hair loss from chemotherapy or radiotherapy gets everywhere. It's harder for some than others, but no kid, teen, or young adult with cancer will ever say it's easy. For this and many reasons, Childhood Cancer needs to END.
We need better cures. We need to fund a research system where the best research minds with the brightest ideas have fewer obstacles and more collaboration. THAT SYSTEM, dear friends, is the Children's Oncology Group. They are largely funded by St. Baldrick's Foundation (the crazy head-shaving people 😁)... see where this is going?
PT Dan will be getting a SHAVE courtesy of his patients on July 9th at 11 am in the midst of 2 wonderful events, Voices Against Cancer and the 16th annual Sioux Empire St. Baldrick's Head Shaving Event in Sioux Falls!
