Yup! Parents and kids these days make me want to puke! For real. Like my neighbors for instance, and so many other's these days won't even let or make their kids walk to school, nope, not happening! I hate to be that guy that say's," I had to walk miles to school in 2ft of snow, but I did, me and all my friends! Now ,like our high school is about 3/4 of a mile away, a mile top's, and it could be 75 degrees, beautiful blue skies and my neighbors kids had to have a ride to school and home! But the dad is a sissy as well! Now they have a 26 and 25yr old living at home and no intentions of moving out! I say the dad is a sissy too cuz we live on a river where the fishing is great! Never seen the video game playing dad ever really even look at the river, their boys either! They, (and most kids these days) have 0 interest in anything remotely manly! Like fishing, hunting, working on car's etc. Just sickening really! And what's going to happen to all of our farm's in the future, these damn bunch of sissies being raised these days are certainly not about no farming, that requires actual work and being a man! Sorry about the book, it just soooo pisses me off!!! Actually American people in general are just turning into a bunch of pantie wearing mofos! And these damn cell phones, absolutely destroying the American youth!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, but some of the people commenting that, because it's an El Camino, it's "not worth very much". Any authentic big block from that era is worth more than these people and worth every penny to restore to respectable condition. Maybe, this car is not worth a thorough rotisserie but certainly to "very nice" for sure! I made this reply without even looking this info up, but I know I'm right!!

elcamino are getting popular, you could get a bench seat in any ss car. $15,000.00 is cheap for a big block elco. my 67 elco is worth $18,000.00. fully option 396 4 speed car. winches are cheep guys. dont paint it white, every car on the road is white, repaint it original orange. dont let Phantom anywhere near it, it would have 38s on it and a LS. turn a $15,000.00 car it to a $4000.00 pile.

Power windows and door locks ac and Crome packages were optional three-speed manual was standard with all engines, and a four-speed or automatic was optional. In 1968, the SS was a separate model (the "SS-396"). ... More potent editions of the 396 engine, developing 350 or 375 hp also made the options list. Options included power windows and locks.

Great job getting the '68 El Camino running. The 396/325HP was base motor and the 396/350HP and the 396/375HP were the regular factory (RPO) optional engines. If that's the 350HP version, that's cool. Factory AC, power windows, posi, Auto Trans., plus more than likely a few more options...nicely equipped and worth making it right and nice. Back in the early seventies, I had a '68 Chevelle SS396/325HP/4Speed/12-Bolt 3:73:1 posi., PS and PB (disc. front); built up a 427 for it and had lot of fun street racing it; needless to say, wish I had kept that car. It's a '68. Couldn't you have ordered it with whatever you wanted? It probably just makes it more rare/valuable if its original and a true SS 396 car.

Only big block cars you could get w/ac in 68 were corvette and impala. In 69 any factory big block car was eligible to order AC.

I’ve been watching this all day . Subscribe today as you do excellent job of videoing and editing. Bravo!!! As for the Elclo I can see it in your boys eyes. I even think his mullet grew a couple inches . Here in Michigan that’s easily a 15k car especially if it’s a matching #’s big block , A/C , high option car .
