It was probably that and ^ the sinus infection. His voice was definitely stronger when I saw him perform on tour. But he did his best and he slayed as always!

What I like about Shawn is he's not afraid to go live, regardless of the situation... Never seen him lipsynced. All singer get tired. All singers experienced that... This performance didn't ruin his image to me... He's still one of the best artists out there

I just have to say. I know that there was rumor that Shawn left the VMAs very disappointed and down on himself, and I just have to say he's the BEST. And I mean BEST. Life performer there is. This song is very different from his normal songs and obviously very difficult on his voice, anyone can see that. So l must say that Shawn absolutely killed it, especially when he went out of his comfort zone with that high note at the end. Very, very proud.💗🤘🏼
