I've just started listening to him a few months back and I love how his songs are so perfectly written and sang. Also, knowing that he performed without lip-syncing even though he was sick makes me smile. It's rare to come across artists who are so devoted.

Shawn is his own biggest critic. No matter if the comments are positive or negative, he'll watch this until he's picked out all the mistakes to make his next performance 100 times better. He's been working non-stop for two years and he was sick, yet he still showed up and gave it his best, whereas 99% of celebrities cancel events when their feet hurt. So no, rudeness and jealousy concealed as "constructive criticism" won't make anyone feel better. Especially when he reads that because of ONE performance, some people consider him a bad vocalist and shitty musician. Shawn Mendes is incredibly talented. If I dare say so myself, the Frank Sinatra of our generation. And people, including fans, will learn to respect him one day. Mark my words.

I'm crying rn because it's been 2 years!!! When this preformance came on tv that was the beginning of me being apart of the Mendes army!!! I'm so thankful that this man is in this world!!! The voice cracks happen more often during performances in which not only fans are watching, but people who don't know him and so he has to prove he is good enough. Therefore he gets nervous. And that was my dummie analysis, thank you for reading haha.
