As you might think when he did this song in concert, the point in the song where he yells “Detroit”, he would substitute the name of the city he was in knowing the crowd would cheer wildly for their town. And Shawn, when you see the taxi almost hit Huey, he was actually standing in front of a green screen and that was a video of the taxi. He was in no danger lol.

Huey is a lot like Shawn , possibly. Very happy and able -bodied . One of the greats ,according to the late groupie, Connie Hamszy of Little Rock .. The biggest star she ever met .

They have some great hits. Listened to them alot in the 80's as a teen. Some of my favorites are : Heart And Soul (which I can listen and watch music video on replay and never get tired of it) Do You Believe In Love, The Power Of Love 💕

They played at my little college in the mid-80s & a local DJ friend took me backstage to meet the band. They were all very nice & were looking forward to going home since our school was their last performance on that tour. We all laughed & talked for hours but it was over far too soon. I miss this music & bands that honor their predecessors.

SHAWN.... you DIDN'T HEAR him say "IN CLEVELAND" (because you were shouting LOL ) before he said "DETROIT". I am from CLEVELAND, home of the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME. The term "rock n' roll" was first used on the radio by ALAN FREED, CLEVELAND D.J. back in the early '50s. ALAN FREED also organized the very first large rock and roll concert which was called the "MOONDOG CORONATION BALL" at our CLEVELAND ARENA (long since demolished, my parents used to take me to see the ICE CAPADES there, and also our old hockey team the Cleveland Barons) It was held on March 21, 1952 just weeks after my 5th birthday. I WISH I had been old enough to ATTEND IT! Great reaction to a great song! When it first came out, I was so pleased to hear my hometown given a "shout out" by Huey in his song!
