'Shayda' director Noora Niasari and star Zar Amir Ebrahimi, as well as other cast members Mojean Aria, Rina Mousavi, Jillian Nguyen and Eva Morey, spoke to THR about the film which tells the story of a brave Iranian mother who finds refuge in an Australian women's shelter with her six-year-old daughter. Niasari opened up about how the project is a reflection of her own mother's story. She also revealed how the film is a "love letter to mothers and daughters," and shared her thoughts on the women-led revolution happening in Iran.
