I know people criticise Zachary Levi for playing the character more childlike than Asher Angel did, but to me it makes perfect sense. Billy never got time to be a kid, constantly being moved to new foster families makes you grow up pretty quickly. He's always defensive because he thinks he'll just get moved again. However, as SHAZAM, he gets to cut loose because he doesn't need to be defensive when he has incredible super powers. When he's transformed, he feels more like a kid than when he actually is a kid.

These scenes, even after watching it numerous times, cannot stop the excited and joyous feelings I get. The concept of family has always been something very near and dear to me, so seeing it so genuinely portrayed in a movie makes me want to never stop seeing it. Plus, as many people have said, this movie can easily relate to teen superhero fans. And I'm in that designated demographic 😁

The movie is really great. But I know there are some room for improvements. Like the adult version should learn more from kids expressions and personality.

I think some of the adult actors do a great job as adultified kids such as Freddie's and Darla's. Levi does a good job acting as a kid but it doesn't feel like the same kid Asher Angel plays, but again that's REALLY hard to do. Most actors can't mimic another adult that well.

Keep in mind Billy had all the powers, then they all got 1 each. Strength, Speed, Lightning, Flight, And they all god extreme durability. But that means the college girl got the Wisdom of Solomon as her power in that fight. Way to go.
