Wow, an actual real person who isn't a "coach", a "personal trainer", pushing supplements, or plugging her own channel. How completely refreshing and rare. The fact that she's in my age group and very relatable are just bonuses!

I haven't seen any single coach push supplements. As for pushing their channel I love it the more success stories on KZfaq the better. It gets the word out for everyone and makes it a better chance people cross paths with them. Weather people decide to be a personal trainer or coach I could care less almost none of them push it on anyone but the reality is I think these people truly enjoy the feeling they get helping others. I would love to personally coach my family if they would only do it and obviously wouldn't want a dime but I think these coaches deserve money for their extra time as well. Either way coaches are leaders in this community and shouldn't be criticized in my opinion

@@arthurfonzarelli9828 Everyone is entitled to their opinions. As for me, I prefer quality over quantity. I'm a busy person and have no interest in watching an hour long advertisement for someone's product, service, or channel. I love the real stories, like this one. In fact, I'd say that Ms Hogan's channel is a perfect example of quality over quantity.

My why is I have no one to take care of me when/if I get old/sick. I need to take care of myself!!! I am low-carb most days. Went Keto Oct. 2017 and lost 75 pounds but now only have 32 of those off. This is probably my fifth time watching this video, Kelly. I cried, yet again, when Susan said that she cried out to God for help and she heard Him say, "I've got a plan for that". After coming to Christ late last year, I remember crying out to God for help with my weight issues, and I heard the exact same thing from the Holy Spirit - "I have a plan for that". Today, I prayed yet again in my car to God, as I was about to go in for a check up at the Doctor's. I asked if it is God's will that He please show me the way to finally reverse my weight and health issues ... It began with the Doctor and her plan for me to help me on my path, and then ended this evening with this video and a couple of your other videos with your Group Members popping up once again! In every one of those videos I watched, they spoke about the Lord. 🙏🏻🕊️❤️ Thank you Kelly. Thank you Susan B.

OMG, Susan this is my same story. I was at the end, 120 pounds overweight, could barely walk. I asked my sister to join me and she said she could only do Keto but I jumped headlong immediately into Lion diet. initially she did this then circumstances with her sick husband, she stopped and I kept going. When carnivore clicked in my life it changed everything! This is MY STORY,I promise you and thank you for sharing. Now 328 days in I'm walking without pain and down 80 pounds just so HEALTHY NOW . My YT feed started putting all these people in my path and I had never heard of them either. God put this in my life because I, too asked my spirit guides for help. ❤❤

I've been pushing this forever that all keto does is make this a hundred times harder because you never let go of the carbs. I don't understand what people don't get this. Even if she succeeded six months from now her cravings would be still there while yours are long gone
@arthurfonzarelli9828

@@dianejones4276I think you have to eliminate all dairy so have you done that? The entire key to success with carnivore is learning how to eat perfectly. If you're doing keto you're not learning perfectly. I'm not saying you can't go back to keto but the further you go without cheese and keto rules of 20 carbs a day the better chance you have a long-term success and the wait will fall off guaranteed. I'd also try to add in a little bit of walking as I notice my scale moves when I walk and if I don't it won't. Also if it's possible eat in a 6-hour window only if you're trying to lose weight because keeps your blood sugar levels low

I had to go to the doctor this week for a rash (poison ivy) that wouldn't clear up. This doctor in the practice hadn't seen me since 2018 (he's not my regular PC) he walked in and the first thing he said was, "How did you lose 33 pounds!". I have actually lost a net of 55 pounds since he's seen me, but I was able to say BBBE and no grains. He was floored and told me I looked really good! I have just turned 61 and I have more energy than I had at 41! I am in a bit of a stall I have about 20-25 pounds more to go to get to my doctor's goal weight. But my biggest triumph has been no more T2D, HBP, acid reflex. I still have some arthritis and I still have some neuropathy but that's getting better too. I can run again and when I'm with my grandkids we run up hills! So much fun, they love it that Grandma can run with them!

That is a great testimony! It has been six months, are you still on track? I have been playing around the edges of Keto and Carnivore for a while, but just three days in, today is day four. I’m 62, I only need to lose 15-20 lbs, but I have joint pain and some deformity in my hands that I would sure like to stop in its tracks! My poor papa’s hands were so gnarled in his last 15-20 years. If I can avoid that it would be a greater gift than weight loss.

I started the carnivore diet mid April some weeks I'm very good and some weeks I have added some veggies; primarily when I go out or with friends. I have lost 25 lbs thus far; my purpose being I don't want this diet too restrictive because I don't want to worry about every thing that goes into my mouth; in this journey I have learned more about nutrition then ever before which has help; I have no idea what my goal is because I have been overweight since my second child was born; I have no idea what my body will look like since it is a different body since the children; I have started a new decade 70 and over all I look much younger then my age; I don't have any wrinkles. The biggest thing is feeling well; I can say I have any addictions it doesn't bother me to have cookies or sweets in the house; I only have this when the grandkids are here; I rarely have an urge to eat.

So beautiful to see. Ive been carnivore just over 3 months now after keto for 3 ½ yrs. I AM 100 LBS DOWN from 250. It WAS a natural progression for me also. When I finally went full carnivore out of the blue my husband joined me. 😲 I recently heard him literally having a full blown argument with his mother and I overheard statements like.."Im not an embicile mother!" And "I've watched my wife doing this for years now and I'm telling you they've been lieing to us mom!" I never knew that all this time he really, really had been listening to me. Every single revelation I had through my journey in my excitement I would of course share with him but you know how it is.. others don't share in the enthusiasm of such things. Hes not overweight or anything but his arthritis has gotten so bad. We're both mid 50's now. Anywho. Beautiful story. Be blessed.🥩

I totally understand your plight! I'm 68 and I've lost 75 pounds! I was mostly housebound for 8 years due to respiratory issues and allergies. I felt completely hopeless about my weight! I could feel it increasing every single day. I stayed away from sugar and ate only low glycemic foods but it didn't matter, so I really thought there was no hope for me - especially at my age. Then, through a Christian youtube channel that I followed, she one day said that she would not normally post something like this because this was Jesus' channel not hers. However, she felt led by Him to share the story of hers and her husband's weight loss on Keto and she gave the youtube channel of Dr Ken D Berry and also the free carbmanager app to track your carbs! That was all I needed! I'm not totally carnivore (but mostly) and even though I've been VERY hypoglycemic since I was a teenager, I now do intermittent fasting every day and find that I actually feel the best with OMAD (one meal a day) and I NEVER get low blood sugar! To me that's a miracle all by itself! I've gone from size 16 pants to size 8 or smalls. I'm so thankful to God for nudging this sister in Christ to share her Keto Story! Kelly you are so awesome and I LOVE your channel and the fact that you are also a Christian! Keep on keeping on, girl! God bless you and your lovely guest!

I am a 73 yr old woman and I weigh 170 lbs. I am Asian so most people say I look 10 -15 yrs younger. I have just had a double hip surgery but am fine now and can walk for 30 minutes on level 4 without much of a problem . I want to go carnivore so hopefully it can make me get better sleep so I won’t feel so lousy during the day . Susan and Kelly you are such inspirations to see that like us you battled with carb and sugar addictions and found a way to overcome it .Tomorrow is Sept. 1st. And, I hope I can change my way of eating to just protein and fat. I hope it will make me feel better because I do have joint pains which actually only started really badly last year . Having to think of meals for the family makes that difficult - but I pray God will help me on this journey . Susan, I can relate to your story of God literally speaking to you - because I too have had that Epiphany experience !!! That was when I first realized that God does speak to us and my faith in Him has been unshakable ever since . I pray that everyone could have this experience so that they can know firsthand that their is a loving God out there looking after us and we are not alone and He is just a prayer away. Sadly, Many young people these days do not know this reality. Pray I can stick to my 30 day challenge of being ketovore/ carnivore. I am afraid I cannot eat enough of the daily protein/ fat required to make a success of this adventure.

@@milesbautista3583 On your comment about cooking for your family...I began my keto journey privately. I didnt tell a soul. I was going to wait til after the holidays but finally realized I was tired of waiting. I researched for a month, preparing. So I started and actually went into ketosis on Thanksgiving day 2019. I knew if I couldn't do it then I wouldn't be able to anyways. I still had two teenagers at home and I was the mom! I did all the cooking. Yes, I had some hiccups but it was so OK! The difference when you fall out of actual ketosis is like the difference between getting a great night's sleep and waking up feeling fresh and ready to face the day joyously and NOT getting good sleep and dragging through the day. It will motivate you! It really does do all they say. I swear. We are all different though so stick with it. 🙏🏼 You will not regret it.

I LOVE your testimony! Praise God! I’m 65 now and after 4 years keto and good weight loss I decided to try carnivore. I began gaining weight and freaked out! Flailing around trying to figure out what to do for the past year or more and only maintaining a 20# weight gain, or slowly gaining more. I recently decided to go back to keto, after such good success previously. Bad idea. I’ve gained a bit more! So, I decided to go with high fat, moderate protein and keep the ultra low carbs that I’ve been doing. I hear too many conflicting voices on YT and it’s so confusing. Some people say don’t eat a lot of fat. You won’t lose the weight. But then I hear good reasons to eat the fat, like through this video with Kelly and her guest. So, I’m gonna go for it. I have a wedding and family reunion coming up and I have not seen these people since I was 20 some odd pounds thinner. It’s very embarrassing for me right now to have to go out of state to see these people that I love and have them see that I’ve gained so much weight back. I still need to lose about 35 to 40 pounds to get to my ideal weight. Please, pray for me! I have done tons of praying myself and seeking the Lord for his wisdom. Thank you for sharing your story! God bless you sister!❤

After a year and a half on Keto my weight was down to 215, and many of my health issues were better. A year ago after watching a video by Dr Anthony Chaffee I went carnivore. Today I weigh 163 pounds. My arthritis, sleep apnea, acid reflux, high blood pressure, pre-diabetic glucose levels, and auto-immune skins rashes all gone. I began in June 2023. I haven't lost an ounce! My background was intermittent fasting. I lost 70 pounds in a year and then started gaining!! The longer I fasted, the less positive results I got. I'm really trying hard to eat twice a day and increase my calories. I've been managing to eat 1900 daily, but still no loss on the scale or my frame. I'm staying the course, but am incredibly discouraged.

@@michellepoelma2791 hello there, I know the discouragement is real but please remember your body could be doing the healing, of many years, first. When I started well over 2 years ago some acquaintances were noticing my weight loss within a month or two and yet I couldn’t see it until a few weeks later when my clothing got looser. I still notice fat areas on my body even though I’m wearing 2 sizes smaller and have been for 2 years. However my eGFR reading reversed from its downward trend and that had been my original why and I’ve definitely had remarkable recovery from low moods/circumstantial depression.

This is saving my Life! I love seeing someone in my age bracket. I'm 63 years old and started ketovore a week ago. But I'm more inclined to do carnivore after watching this. I've also started walking at least 2 miles a few days a week, but I'm working towards doing more! I'm 5'-5" and 186lbs.. but as a young person (under 30 years old), I weighed 121 lbs. I developed hypothyroidism at 36, and it's been one thing after another. I have heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. 😢 I'm going carnivore tomorrow because of this video!

You are telling my story. I am really struggling right now. My husband passed a little over a year ago. He was completely paralyzed for 13 years from advanced multiple sclerosis. I was his sole care giver. It was brutal and over those years I stopped caring about me. All my attention and energy were focused on him and trying to give him some quality of life. My only comfort has been food. I am now lost and broken and my health is suffering. I am overweight with so many painful issues . I either give up or try to make carnivore work for me. I'm starting my journey at 320 LBS at 43yrs old. I'm very active, working a technician job 12hrs a day on my feet, but get so very much pain in my feet, ankles, knee, and back. It hurts to get out of bed, that first step on the floor. I have tried many things before, but have always felt so deprived and cravings so strong that I have never made it past 30 days of eating "good". I'm in my 2nd week of carnivore. And for the first time it is Soooo different. I don't crave junk, I am very full, and even after I got laid-off work I did not stuff my face. It was a HUGE accomplishment for me. The BIGGEST difference I have seen with my own eyes in such a short time, is cellulite disappearing before my very eyes. Just Wow!!❤

LOVED this interview!! I am a 63 year old woman who has used food for comfort since I was in single digits. Oh, yeah, totally carb addicted. I am an alcoholic (sober 18 years on 2/4/24) and since I quit drinking I’ve complained that I can’t kick my food addiction in the same way: Cold Turkey. I believe I failed at every diet, even keto (which I loved!) because of having too many choices, and focusing on food too much. Carnivore is as close to Cold Turkey as I can get with eating. My mantra is, I eat only animal products. Easy peasy. I make sure to have lots of meat in my freezer so I never have to Think About What To Eat. I never have to walk anywhere in the grocery store than the meat section and the egg area. Back to my failure on Keto - I found myself always waiting for the huge spike in energy and mental clarity I felt I was promised but it never came. Today marks 3 weeks for me on Carnivore. I suffered the first week but during the second week, I woke up feeling GOOD! I mean Really Good! My outlook on life is effortlessly positive, I have NO CRAVINGS, and my body is much less achy. The rewards have begun already and I can easily see myself eating this way for the rest of my life. Loose skin be damned.😘 Thank you thank you thank you♥️🎈

I had a similar experience, Erin. I was eating lean protein and green veggies. I lost weight, but the constipation was unmanageable! I felt in my own body that the more veggies and fiber I consumed, the worse I felt and the worse the constipation. I found an article from World Gastroenterology Journal on the NIH website that talked about a study where 100% of study participants healed themselves of idiopathic constipation by cutting all fiber from their diets! I was shocked. This is not what we're told by doctors and nutritionists. Then, I read that cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy are sometimes advised to eat a no or low fiber/low residual diet to help evacuate the toxins of the chemotherapy from their gut quickly. What? So, *they* KNOW, but they continue to preach and push carbs. As you can probably tell, I'm still mad 😂 I've just started carnivore. I've already had vast improvements in the IBS bloating and relief of constipation; which is amazing! And I had small sores that didn't want to heal- they healed overnight and I'm sleeping better! I'm excited to see how much better I'll feel as my body heals. I'm so thankful.

I've upped my calories above 1800 calories to in the 2,000 and 3,000 calories, and still stalled. I eat when I'm hungry (which tends to OMAD), but yeah, fasting is the only thing that seems to work to get me to lose weight. I will say, I eat at least a pound of beef when I eat and some butter. September 2020 I retired at seventy from twenty six years in dialysis because I felt I was too broken down to be capable at my job. I was over three hundred lbs at the time even though I had been eating a more or less low carb life for twenty years. I just couldn't regulate, I successfully avoided sugar and grains, but that left plenty of room for other foods to creep in. I put on an additional thirty lbs in retirement by summer 2022. I got a bit stricter with keto and by March I had lost some weight, so I bought a scale and found I had lost the thirty lbs. By the last week of March I started carnivore. I needed so much healing that I only lost four lbs by the end of April, the weight then started to come off, even though the speed of it was still far slower than many reported. I have only lost two lbs in August for a total of forty four with one hundred to go, I guess I need more healing. I do omad and periodic longer fasting for the autophagy as the healing is something I need. I did refine what I did eat in April, including removing dairy. I eat various meats and fats only now. I have had more healing that I can list here, but one subject has made a major impression on me. I was diagnosed with stage three kidney disease abut three years ago. As someone who worked in dialysis I knew what that meant. We were all taught that kidney disease was progressive and ended in kidney failure. I knew my weight would get totally out of control on the recommended diet and I had been skating the edges of diabetes for twenty years with my original start of low carb to keep it at bay. The diet recommended would have pushed me over the edge into diabetes too. Well I had blood draws done on May 19 and my kidney number were improved with my creatinine in the normal level 1.23 with the limit being 1.28 and my gfr being over sixty, the lower limit for my age. BUN was down but still elevated. I just had a second blood draw on Monday and the creatinine was 1.18 and the BUN was twenty six which is one over normal range. I have beaten the kidney disease with carnivore. My A1c was 5.6, the lowest it has been in years and also in the normal range. My fasting insulin is now five. There are so many other things I don't suffer with anymore, ibs, urinary tract issues and incontinence, psoriasis on the top of my head, arthritis in my hands, and on and on. But the kidney issue is the crown jewel, If the ongoing issues I still have including the weight remain, I am still a winner.

I can so relate. My son and I cared for my husband/his Dad through a 5 1/2 year cancer battle before he died, with us at his side here at home. The rest of ‘18 and ‘19 are still a blur! Then came pandemic and gym closed. I gained back 40 of the 60+ lbs I had lost. I’m still struggling and have other health issues holding me back. But I keep putting one foot in front of the other and getting closer to 100% carnivore again. Kelly, you and your guest inspire me!

I'm 35 and having thoughts like I don't want to be constantly sick or immobile when I'm older, or keep feeling like a slave to food, but it is wonderful to know that even people who have lived more life than me can absolutely still have a life changing transformation for the better. ❤

It has helped renew my determination to keep going with carnivore. I am ketovore currently, only having tea, dill pickles and green olives from the plant kingdom with a few seasonings but I find your story very encouraging. Thank you. 💜

I think the biggest mistake the car and more community makes for those who are using it to lose weight is telling him that dairy is okay. You simply must quit using dairy products cheese and heavy whipping cream especially if you want to lose weight. I cannot stress this enough I've seen this happen so many times and it's what stops people from being successful. Not to mention I do think everyone should walk everyday. There was a guy on KZfaq who I follow who's been stalled a year and decided to walk in the month of July and lost 12 lb after not losing anyway for 12 months all by simply walking one to two miles a day basically 30 minutes or less

Thank you so much for sharing your story Susan! I needed afresh filling of hope! Carnivore has helped restore my sanity! The sanity is my reason for staying. Years ago I had lost 127# following a weighed and measured keto diet, maintained it for 10+ years. Regained 80 over the 15 years after divorce…. Now 68, I was feeling that I would never be able to lose that extra weight and get healthy again….thank you again! I am sitting in an airport right now, with a friend who is also struggling to lose so she can have surgery….her “nutritionist” is still prescribing carbs!!! She asked why I don’t eat any veg….she rejects the rationale to eliminate carbs….

I’m in the same boat as you. I’m 55. I’m at 60 days of carnivore. Still waiting for those pounds to start dropping, but nothing. Not an ounce. The only weight I lost was when I did the 72 hour sardine challenge to kick off my carnivore journey. I lost 4 pounds in 72 hours and have managed to at least keep that off. But when I transitioned to carnivore and started eating until I was comfortably full, the weight loss completely stopped. I haven’t gained either though, so that’s good. But it seems the only way my body will lose weight is if I eat nothing or next to nothing, and that is very taxing for me. And at this point, I’m just not willing to fast for days at a time. That 72 hour sardine challenge was seriously rough! My job is very mentally stressful, and I just do not want to stress my body even more by not eating at all. So, that is definitely on me. But, I am still hopeful though that my body will eventually fat adapt and I will start losing. 🙏🏻

This was a great interview. I jumped into a committed keto lifestyle for a full year 8 years ago. My weight is 120 lbs on a 5'4 frame but I suffer from anxiety. Losing weight wasn't my goal but to help with my mental/emotional health. I learned a lot but didn't excel on keto...my heart palpitated too fast, even while making sure I kept my electrolytes up. Over the years,, I eventually and organically moved over to locally grown grass-fed beef, pork and chickens and raw milk. butter and eggs from a local farmer. Feeling satiated and satisfied on these foods, the veggies I eat are coming from my organic garden and I use them more as a flavoring. My favorite high-carb vegetable are carmelized onions in butter. Won't be getting rid of raw dairy..... very calming to my nervous system.

Kelly and Susan, what a blessing this video was! Thank you for taking the time to record and post it. So many things that Susan said resonated with me. I too am in my 60s and I cared for my husband for almost two years before he passed away in January of 2021. Talk about rocking my world! I had known him since I was 17. At some point toward the end of 2021, I cried out to God for help with getting over food addictions. I had toyed with keto for at least 7 years but for me it was mostly “cheat-o” and I was tired of feeling bad physically. Those keto snacks are a real distraction! Suddenly, in December 2021, one of Kelly’s videos just showed up on my YT home page and I watched it in spite of my initial reaction that eating only meat was a wild concept. I decided to give it 30 days and I started in January of 2022 and the rest is history. I have no idea how much weight I’ve lost because I got out of the daily weight tracking madness but I do know that people are always commenting that I’ve lost a lot and I’ve had to buy new clothes. (My guess is it is somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-40lbs based on a weigh-in at a medical appointment.) One of the greatest joys of this whole adventure is seeing how loving our Father is to answer our prayers and if we will be willing to do what He shows us, we will always be victorious. The other wonderful benefits are to feel good overall, to sleep well, to no longer be addicted to recreational foods and to be able to eat something delicious when I’m hungry, which is usually only once or twice a day. Thanks so much for being such kind and bold ambassadors for this way of eating that has allowed me and many others to be released from the prison of food addiction that held us captive for way too many years. God bless you both!

Ladies!!! This was an awesome message today ...and just what I needed! After my bad year in 2022 ...bad, bad case of covid, then kidney stones and surgery to have removed and wearing a stent for a month ...almost as painful as the stones, then a femur fracture and on a walker for 4 months and therapy which led to an MRI and found Lumbar Spinal Stenosis in December. Drs told me I HAD to lose weight, HAD TO! And I was up to 213 lbs from all the sitting, laying around from last year. Until Feb this year I prayed for something ...someone to help me lose weight and that's when Dr. Barry and you Kelly came into my life on that one video together. I jumped right in and have so far lost 44 lbs. Quit taking 1 BP med. Yay! I'm 68 and have been slowly this month cheating and can't seem to stop, gained 4 lbs. Susan, thank you so much for being brave and talking about yourself...and dairy is one of my problems too ... yogurt especially and cheese! Now I'm not sleeping as well, sinus issues acting up and etc. Thanks for opening my eyes ...and for the inspiration... Kelly this new way of eating Carnivore, truly has worked for me ...I just needed that reminder! My why? I want to get healthy, so down the road if my husband needs to carry me ...he'll be able to! I'm halfway there now! And a drs appointment in September, with tests ...and them seeing the new me excites me now again. Thank you so much dear ladies! Big hugs to you both, Suzy Q

I hear your messages about calorie restriction being a bad thing, both you and Susan. I SEE the results! And I am still terrified of eating more and I don’t eat a lot, only about 1,000 calories😅. I know, I know!. I’m in a wheelchair right now so getting exercise is a challenge. I’ve been strictly carnivore since the end of June 2023 and I’m losing weight and feel better than I’ve felt in ages, and I’m not hungry, but quite satisfied. Quite frankly, the thought of upping my caloric intake terrifies me. I feel like once I lose the weight I must lose, I’ll start to gradually up my calories and see what happens. Kelly, I joined your Monday coaching sessions in July and will be back on in September.I LOVE these sessions and the other people on them. Keep up with the messaging about WHY caloric restriction is not good for us. That message will penetrate this very thick wall of 60 years of being told I will always have to restrict my calories or I would pay the price in weight gain. It was a mantra I the home I lived in. I am 78 years old, and I feel great on carnivore, however my weight loss has stalled at 55 pounds over a 4-year period. I tell myself I am probably at my ideal weight, since I have surpassed weight goals twice (at 150 and 140 pounds).
