"Je suis malade" is a song by French singer and songwriter Serge Lama in 1973. It's a classic in France. There has been many covers, but Lara has one of the best.

She is not performing She is interpreting her feelings into the song. Artists are sensitive to emotions and and do bring their souls into songs. Lara is highly sensitive and transparent in feelings thus She felt the lyrics and bring her personal experience into this Magical song. Beyond reality she is a True instrument voice. Unique

I've listened to this song at least 6 or 7 times today. And each time I'm brought to tears. Probably because I have a love for someone like that. And there are times that I feel certain lyrics more than other times. The pain is real in this song. And it's real in her delivery. Listen to her sing Je t'amie. You will love it. Guaranteed.

This jaw-dropping performance was my gateway drug to Fabian about 2 years ago, and my admiration for her has only grown deeper as I obsessively looked for into her work. This was a cover that she pretty substantially tweeked to famously make her own. She calls herself a "songwriter with a voice" as she composes and writes most of her own material - in French, English, Spanish & Italian. Technical master with otherworldly emotive performance skills. Fantastic reaction. 🖖🏾

maybe Adagio by Lara is a new original version with english lyrics, but there are lots of other versions too, eg the original orchestral version from centuries ago, a version by Demis Roussos (i found that after her reaction to him a few day ago), and of course also the versions by Lara and by Dimash. just like "love is like a dream", you can go down many rabbit holes when starting to look up songs of Lara, Dimash, and Igor, eg from this song there is the 25 year old original by Alla Pugacheva, a later version by Lara, and finally also Dimash, each of them having their own different styles.

@@Anson_AKB This means that Lara Fabian and Igor Krutoy have had a very nice bond for a long time, long before Dimash. She also wrote the lyrics to YOUR LOVE by Dimash and also the lyrics to MADEMOISELLE HYDE on the music of Igor Krutoy.

Fantastic!!! I'm just glad this song wasn't around while I was going through my divorce. I would have cried my eyes out every day. She is pouring everything she's got into this song, and I felt it! Even she needed a moment after to compose herself! What a way to deliver a sad song! Bravo indeed. Sony signed her for North America. Then wanted to control her career. She said Thanks, but no. They blocked her career from then on. Since she speaks at least 5 languages, she went to Europe, depriving us of her talents. Thank God for KZfaq.

She also sang a lot here in Quebec the french Province where I live. She was also a judge for La Voix Quebec (the Voice). Lara always liked it here and she still comes to see her fans. One of the greatest singer of all time in my book. Je t'aime Lara, on s'ennuie de toi revient nous voir.

I felt like she was telling him how she fekt, but that he didn’t care. Every bit of her singing , heart and soul went into that song. Like she had really experienced the breakup and how she really felt. Her mind, heart, body and soul was into that singling.Beautiful song and performance, like you felt for her breakup with the one she loved.

I was listening to the original recording of this song (Serge Lama, who co-wrote it about his own experience with a woman he loved) on Montreal radio in 1974... and I first saw this video of Lara's performance when I was living on Haida Gwaii in 2001. I've been listening to her sing since the early 1990s, and in this performance she SLAYS this song. One of her best *ever*.

I just had to subscribe after this reaction to the amazing Lara Fabian!! She’s just amazing... mind blowing really. This is not an “unusual” performance for her. She always LIVES each and every song she signs... Easily the best performer ever! I hope you continue down the very deep rabbit hole that is “amazing performances by Lara Fabian”. From this amazing concert, I’d recommend Adagio, You’re not from here, Caruso and Broken Vow.. all mind blowing in their own way! 😊 I love this concert, but honestly it’s not even her best (IMO) but it’s a great gateway drug to a Lara obsession lol

Song from Serge Lama written in 1973. He is the man dropped by his wife, he is the boy Whose Mother let him alone during his childwood. Left by his Mother, left by his wife. Words were strong because it s like a double abandon, litlle Child without father and a Mother whithout love for him,and young man with a hart breaking story. Serge Lama huge French singer and writter.

Her version of "Adagio" in either language in which she sings it is absolutely stunning. I'd love to see you react to her singing that powerhouse of a song. Adagio is a timeless classic that stirs the soul with it's beauty. It was originally a piece of classical music. Several artists have popularized it for people who wouldn't normally listen to classical music. So, to add Lara and the lyrics that have been put to it grips the heart and stirs up a surprising conglomeration of emotions. Bittersweet pain but warm love, sorrow and the joy of triumphant love. So layered and so breathtaking. You'll love it.
