I agree wire to sure the wood to the metal is a good idea and it looks rustic, if you need thicker wire home depot has copper 18 gauge. I think I’ll try that!!

My two cents: I don’t know about that hot glue…might be better off drilling a hole through the metal, but not the wood, and using wood screws to securely attach it. Great idea but I wouldn’t trust it to hold the weight of glass bottles and water.

It's not hot glue, it's called e6000. I've never used it but I hear people swear by its strength. Just an FYI.

I agree. And especially if you have children or pets. Hv u ever seen a bottle explode everywhere when it drops? I have. Scary stuff. The shards fly everywhere :(

E6000 is a cancer causing adhesive, not good for a long term storage solution such as this

@@alleywarren9113 pretty much all strong adhesives have cancer causing agents in them, unfortunately. You just have to wear gloves while using it and not breathe in the fumes. Once they're dry they're usually fairly safe.

You could use a thicker piece of wood and short wood screws to connect the rack to the wood. This will make it a much more sturdy wall piece.

A thicker board is exactly what I was thinking, too, plus using screws (along with the E6000 glue). Someone else suggested coloring over the screw tops; good idea. The glass and the water will be pretty HEAVY for that hook piece, but it IS cute.

There's no way that thing going to hold those bottles for any length of time. If it doesn't break or fall off the wall and smash bottles everywhere, those hooks with bend under the weight within a day or two! This is a ridiculous and an accident waiting to happen. They're meant for car keys, not glass bottles half full of water! Lmao

Love this look. Syngoniums, pothos and philodendron do so well. I've done the same with wide mouth bottles for dieffenbachia and monstera as well. Plus the grow beautiful white and light green roots!

I love this idea. I have a bunch of nice, heavy bottles from kombucha, and had thought about doing a macrame holder on them to root cuttings in. I think I'll hang them off this kind of thing, thanks!

I actually made this for mother's Day! I placed my hook on the BACK of the wood, added the GLASS FRAMED OCEAN ANIMAL DECOR onthe CENTER hook, added some SEASHELLS to the WOOD some NAUTICAL ROPE around the center of the bottles and hung one on each end with POTHOS from my own plant and shipped then to my MOM FRIENDS & FAMILY. THEY LOVED IT! THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA!! 😁👏🏻
