@@inmyopinion302 WFM is a title won by competing in women's only tournament. There is generic chess tournament (open for both men and women) and women only chess tournament. There is no men only tournament. It has nothing to do with misogeny. Since way more men are interested in chess it may be pretty tough mentally for women to get into sport with so many men. Women's chess community is tiny. It's nice to have chess tournaments just for women to promote chess among them.
@lred1383
@lred1383 Жыл бұрын
@@sxanep i personally think the concept of female only titles is too condescending. Only works as promotion for women until they learn what these titles are really about, and if you wanna see the best players, male or female, you have to look at those that have the grown-up titles without the W on them. If anything, they may have the opposite effect and be somewhat discouraging

I think the clock in a relaxed game like this just stops someone from thinking for 45 minutes lol. You don't need to be beholden to it.

But this is the amazing thing about chess is it brings people together from around the world. The rules are the same everywhere, and anyone can play it maybe after age 6 or 7.

That was such a cute video. Anna was so nice, and those people really nice too. It looked like they were all having a good time. Just a really positive vibe overall. She has a very cute and friendly personality, and the other people did too. I honestly wish more people were like that. Anna didn't go easy on her, but I think she could have played more aggressively if she was trying to win as fast as she could knowing her opponents strength, but she treated it like any other game and was trying to have fun too, which is good. I really liked the video though.
