I wonder if she's taken the MSF safety course or even has a license, that's a pretty bad rookie mistake. Making a right-hand turn from a stop is one of the hardest things to do for a new rider, and you have to LEAN the bike to get it to turn, even at slow speeds like that. Hope she's okay, that was a pretty hard fall...

whiskey throttle happens when your arms are straight and you hit a bump or pot hole that throws your weight back causing you to give it more gas once in trouble you can't hang on for dear life and let off the gas at the same time. It can be because your butt is too far back on the seat or a lot of bikes (Harleys) are set up so your arms have to be straight

35 years on 2 wheels and I am blessed living in a state where helmets are NOT required. My wife wrecked her Victory in a similar fashion going too fast into a curve and not knowing how to properly lean and throttle through it, she broke some ribs and nearly lost her finger later to an infection, BUT she rode that broke-ass bike all the way home. More manly than our two boys.
