You can’t help but grin a little when you see the massive intake sticking out of the hood of this Mustang. Combined with a parachute and some wide tires on the back, you might get the hint that its not your typical Stang. Surprisingly, you WONT find a Chevy motor under the hood - instead you’ll see a 4.6L Ford motor with a 76mm turbo strapped to it. We’re not sure what sort of power its making, but its good enough for low 8 second passes at 170mph!

A few years ago you had Supra enthusiasts looking for rare low milage Supras "like quicksilver 98's" . They would upgrade the engines and slap GT47's on them. A few months later they are up for sale.

Rare is subjective - if it was a real 03/04 Cobra it was supercharged with 390HP and would get spanked by a new NA 5.0L. Same goes for the C5 Z06, 6.1L SRT8's - the newer ones will crush them.

Well I don't mean don't upgrade older cars but I guess don't take a 2003 Cobra swap to a straight axle put QA1 drag shocks in the rear and trailer it to the track. Same with gen 1 camaro's where they tub them and drop in a tubular front end and put a 600+ci big block. Like to each their own and do with your money what you want but why not do the same thing to a mutang v6. They made millions of them and they are a cheaper starting place anyway.

Meh. That's my favorite gen of Mustang but you know that's the fate they will all share. Either they get ignored because they had a 6 from the factory or they get modified to their last breath with the 8. Such is the life of muscle cars.

I was gonna have my buddy frank-e at voodoo here in las vegas build my cobra but decided to do it myself but did get some pointers from them. He ran an 8.40 in this vid but Ive seen that car deep into the 7s.

To all the keyboard warriors... this chick is running LOW 8's. Faster than most people on here commenting. Yes, she needs to dial in her staging / bumpboxing, but that car is fast and consistent. Props to her and her husband. They will be in the 7's soon.. unlike most of us.
