So much better in the true summer.

She has striking eyes, and I can see why it is easy to focus on them instead of her undertone. However, once you see her in Summer colors, there is absolutely no question! She looks fantastic in them, and the Autumn is definitely distracting and overwhelming. I think I would have personally thought maybe muted??? Bad guess... Spectacular Summer she is!

I feel so validated by this!! I have warm eyes and skin with a golden overtone so you would assume autumn, but i actually look best in summer colors as well!

Thank you so much Carol for these side-by-side photos. In most videos about colour analysis I have struggled to see why one colour suits a client better than another. The language used by yourself and other analysts about a wrong colour, e.g. "disconnected, separate, overwhelmed, drained, unhealthy, tired, overpowering", I find vague and confusing. These words often strike me as so open to interpretation. Likewise, positive words like "brighter'' "healthier" have not helped me to discern objectively what makes one optical effect less desirable than another optical effect. Skin seems so complicated! But in this and another video of yours I just watched, I could see the difference! I stopped looking at various bits of the paired photos, and focussed just on the forehead of the client. I looked to see if there was a difference in skin colour between the foreheads in the two photos, switching back and forth. And lo and behold, I could see there was a difference! When wearing the "right" colour, to my eye the skin colour looks a) more saturated and also b) slightly whiter (i.e less grey content). With the "wrong" colour, the client's skin looks as if a very fine film of grey has been laid across it. It is very subtle, and without having 2 photos to compare I wouldn't pick it up, but I can definitely see it now. It's as if the photo with the wrong colour has been taken under slightly lower lighting conditions, (hence the percentage of grey appearing higher) whereas with the right colour, it gives the illusion that stronger lighting has been used. Hopefully this may be of help to some of your viewers who were floundering like me. Thanks once again for your informative content.

My immediate thoughts; there is something quite ashy in the hair and colouring, not autumnal, but I can see it would be easy to go with an obvious autumn (incorrect result) perhaps and only see warmth?!

I would like to hear a bit of explanation on leather (natural) because for the cool side of the Color, it's a bit difficult to find a leather bag or sandals, except black.

I have similar coloring (slightly softer) and definitely not any type of warm season. Summer works best overall.

Carol, you always say that soft autumn can use an ash brunette hair color. But isn’t ash a blue base? Can you someday explain what “ash” actually means? I thought ash means a blue-violet and that seems like it would be cool? If I am a soft autumn can I mix a warm brown with an ash brown to make it neutral-warm? I don’t understand how to get neutral-warm because all the neutral brunettes I’ve tried turn my skin kind of grey….and I’m afraid “ash” brown will do that also!

Yes i definitly think she is a summer but i also notice something here i think she has a olive undertone with would match here eyes perpectly this remind me of Rihanna who is a soft summer with an olive undertone and she has green eyes ...i would advise her to look in that direction when stying herstyle

Making her a summer makes a mockery of colour analysis ..you may as well throw CA out of the window, its a free for all..
