I have a question about warm spring. You analyzed me as a warm spring, and I'm sure you're right, but since warm spring colors are the same as true warm, what makes warm springs spring? I hope that makes sense! The fabric book said something vague about how we can handle lighter yellows and corals, but that sounds like true spring. Maybe I'm just overthinking this! I really thought that I'm a deep winter, but my contrast is like neutral to low. My skin is kinda muted fair, my hair is dark brown, and my eyes are dark brown with a midnight blue grey ring around to it. Light shades look good on me, especially pastel pink, also grey, navy blue, dark violet. It looks okay. However, brown darken my face. I tried yellow, and it just blended in my skin. I'm really confused rn if im soft or true summer😩😭😭

Do you have any videos explaining the seasons such as true bright, true deep and true muted? I'm intrigued since I saw one of your videos when you mentioned true muted.

I think a lot of matching to hair goes on too! A good reason why consultants usually cover the hair during analysis.

I don't have a problem with different results from different systems. I have volunteered a few times for friends of friends in training, and also had a few updates as I started to age and change eye and hair colours naturally. To be honest, all the results came out warm, warm autumn, warm sprng and bright spring. I might have been worried if I came out cool. I was originally done as deep autumn in my thirties and that felt right for decades. However, I do have a problem with analysis been done in artificial light (more than one!) and coloured hair not being covered. Also, one told me, to make her diagnosis work, I had to dye my greying hair back to very dark brown. I was really unsure about that advise.

We are on a spectrum and in every system could be another of our features highlighted. The important part is to understand the colors and their influence on our coloring.

I have been typed (in person) as a Spring (twice), Light Spring, Light Summer (twice). Confusing.

I've been reading about "season's personalities", and summers, like Carol, are deep thinkers, exacting and hate /avoid conflict, see how she's saying " I would never say that another colour professional is wrong!" ....hee hee, where as I as a spring would have probably said it!

You're a lovely person! This seems like it would be a difficult situation. However I do believe it's important to note that even professionals can make mistakes and have incorrect results. Not just with color analysis but in any field. For example I had a severe ankle injury and went to a top sports medicine well renowned orthopedic surgeon. He spent 5 minutes with me and gave me a diagnosis and a brace and sent me to physical therapy. The physical therapist was puzzled and spent weeks trying to figure out what was actually wrong and gave me a different diagnosis of his own. I was thankful to find him because the correct diagnosis was essential in helping me learn to walk again.

I think you are taking the high road here. I think a lot of confusion stems from using different fixed grids of categories using ambiguous terms like spring, autumn over a series of 4 sliding scales for value, temperature, clarity, and contrast. Personally, I am light to medium leaning light, neutral leaning a bit cool, pretty clear as I look ghastly in greyed tones, and low contrast. Pale skin, light brown hair at puberty which is white now, green eyes. Putting myself as light summer, but use a lot of the light spring colors as well. Works for me. I am sure with that many meh positions on the scales, I could get a lot of different results. In the 70s I was typed as winter, but that never fit. I am assuming my muted color allergy tipped me over in that four category system. I remember being disappointed as I preferred the summer or spring colors. Thanks for all you do.

I’ve gotten True Spring, Light Spring, Soft Summer, and Soft Autumn, as well as “Intriguing” under a different system. I’m low contrast, light features, slight grey overtones to my overall blondness. I’ve sort of created a custom palette of neutral undertone, light-medium depth, slightly hazy colors that look lovely on me. Some systems don’t even have a category for people like me who are both very light but also very “not clear” / grayish-hued.

You are such a nice person it's very hard for you to make a definite and public statement that someone else is on the wrong track. This process needs to be scientifically standardized to have real consistency and thus genuine meaning.

Can people of ethnicities that aren’t Caucasian be light summer or light spring?

Ók so i think í look best in bright spring colors..i have a friend that does color analysis and she says I’m cool 🧐 I have medium brown cool toned hair and grey blue eyes I can’t have any red or orange or to yellow in my hair…I will look 🤢..just shallow and sick …but I have neutral skin tone leaning more yellow ..my undereye will not get green/yellow…when tired it becomes red and purple 😅..not a good look..and still I have yellow skin 🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🤓 😂😂😂😂😂

Thank you. I used to be an autumn. However, due to meds, aging skin, and more cool greys in my hair... it's been tough to find myself again. Have been discovering the new colours I seem to be good in now are muted!!!! And my makeup tones seem to be neutral. Soooo...????

This happened to me, too! I never or very rarely received compliments or even comments on my appearance. Since I know my colours thanks to Carol a couple of days ago, I got so many compliments it is amazing.

Absolutely not I used to think I was warm but I have skin very similar to hers, fair, freckles, red undertone. I look back when I was learning about makeup n I was buying warm shades n it was so yellow on me 😂😂😂

wtf why would someone say that to you. I am 27 and I only wear makeup when I have to work at my club. Otherwise I can’t stand it, it’s a sensory overload for me to feel like I have something on my face and especially mascara. Funny enough when I am at work I don’t notice it but literally as soon as I’m driving home I’m like GET IT OFF😂😂 Anyways all of this to say as a young lady I never really wore much makeup but I did wear like a lil mascara and bronzer maybe a lil eyeshadow. When I started college I did not like that I felt incomplete if I went to the dining hall or to get my mail without makeup on. I would never go to class without it or work as a server. I didn’t like that if I didn’t have makeup on going anywhere in public I would be insecure. So I just slowly started not wearing it here & there. Now I really love how I look without makeup!!! But when I go to work I am in full glam! I fix my hair, lingerie, glitter, so it’s like Halloween!!!! 🩷🩷 (I dance) I love that because I get to express myself that way when I want to but not feel like I have to. I have to tell my mom n my grandma because they would say “aren’t you gonna get fixed up?” I started to confidently say “I am!” At first when I began that journey I would get side eyes from them but i would just emphasi4 that my hair is tidy, I washed my face, brushed my teeth, got dressed. Like I’m ready!! My grandma n momma won’t leave the houses without their hair n makeup done. I saw that my whole life n I truly believed I was showing up improper if I walked through the world with my hair natural & no makeup. That’s not true ladies, wear makeup every day if you want to n it makes you happy. But don’t feel like you are less of a woman or less feminine if you don’t 🩷
