She gets whats she deserves and so does her boyfriend. She told him repeatedly that she does not want her past known to others, told him repeatedly that he needs to keep his mother in check, and every time he broke her boundaries by pissing in the wind with his mother. Everyone has there breaking point and him plus his family finally sees how she will not tolerate it any longer. I understand two different cultures but at the same time you can't force her to respect your family, feelings, and boundaries while trampling over hers. Respect and boundaries goes both ways whether you like that person or not or they have some form of a relationship with you or others.

Basically at the end there was no doubt that there was no reason left, she was used to being top dog and wanted to put Andy "in her place" but she's a shark putting up with the biggest fish in a small pond. His line "the Bao is nothing in her eyes" reeeeally drove the point home to her.

Andy will not tolerate a woman who shows no respect for another persons boundaries and relationship. His MOTHER does not need to know everything. He is bitching out when it come to his mother. I was told it was a society thing, he is dealing with a girl not familiar with his concepts of allowing others to control and manipulate. ANDY IS MY FAVORITE

@@fourthprince1099 it is sad and I am sure like me you would not tolerate it in our respective societies!! However, this culture in China is centuries old and is ingrained into family life and therefore should be respected no matter how annoying it is!!

@@noelle3551 remember this show is Chinese. The whole family first dynamic is in almost every culture but phased out at different times. This show resonates with Chinese youth because they themselves are not following mistreatment just to appease disgruntled elders.

Why would any sane woman with a shred of pride marry into a family like the Baos? Taking a stand and establishing boundaries shows that Andy is a smart cookie. She's not going to let herself get steamrolled.

So pretty much she's the type if you have questions about her just ask her, but whatever answers she gives you she doesn't want the whole world to know. So she's pretty bringing you into her inner circle and if you mess up she will simply destroy everything in her path to take you down.

Her brother has a very sensitive type of autism that requires emotional stability and security. Andy also carries a genetic potential to be schizophrenic so she has to protect herself by trying to control her emotions all the time. That is why Andy never drinks alcohol ever, she only drinks water at events. The whole thing in this situation was that Bao's mother was going to try and find her brother and ask him endless questions about Andy which would cause him to have a breakdown. Andy has no choice but to draw a line in the sand and destroy anyone who tries to hurt her brother.

Andy has a bottom line, the mother crossed that line. Whether Andy gets together with Bao in the end, doesn't really matter, she said it herself. What she will not do is to be the recipient of the overbearing family's feeling of empowerment, just because they have always done so and others just accept it. Like Andy said, she doesn't care if she loses money, she will do it to bring them to bankruptcy if they don't do what she asked them to do.

Did they break up? I hope not, because they genuinely loved each other. But she was right to draw a line in the sand and refuse to let her (STB)inlaws cross it. I put up with a lot from my narcissistic inlaws. But attacks/insults on my parents or my husband (their son) and our daughtet I refused to tolerate and ALWAYS have. I have told them on numerous occasions I would watch them burn to protect those I love. They hate(d) me, but I don't care. My FiL is dead now and my MiL is 98 and no threat to us. She needs us, she relies on us.....so she has to play nice. All the time she does, so will I.

I love the character of Andi, despite being brought up in the west it's about respecting the other person's personal life. She isn't afraid to put a line saying you can't cross or touch my family. BaoYifan family is greedy, shady and untrustworthy. They aren't any better. Chayo !!!! Andi

這編劇太扯…如果知道某個大筆資金要與自己原始部位對著幹，那就借個副帳號順著大筆資金的方向加碼操作，這樣主帳號賠的越多，副帳號就賺的越多…不只不會虧損…反而還會翻N倍……但這劇情不現實啊……
