I don't get it, these people here are missing kids and they just pick up and move? Who would do that unless you know where they are? Are they haunting them in the house?

If the daughter’s body is near that house or in the woods, bring in a cadaver dog. Let that dog roam through the woods, it might find a body.

From what I have read, Scott Ledbetter (her father) stated Kaitlyn Amber Ledbetter got into a heated argument with his live-in girlfriend, Crystal, before she disappeared. BTW, Kaitlyn wasn't wearing just ordinary pajamas, but a blue sleeveless, cropped t-shirt with white pajama shorts with blue polka dots, and no shoes. There's no way a 25 year old woman jumps out a window in those temperatures wearing that.

I looked on Reddit and found this article it has more information: These statements are alleged from the family -Kaitlyn was never addicted to any kind of drug and drank alcohol on a casual basis -The last time either of them spoke to Kaitlyn was on the 29th of April, however, Kaitlyn often texted her family members, and on May 2nd, 2021 Kaitlyn messaged her sister and Aunt, Kailtyn’s boyfriend’s Grandmother along with a few other family members before jumping out the window and then again after 7 AM. Her Aunt and Sister state that the message they received did not sound like she and they are unsure if she was actually the one who sent the message. -The evening of May 2nd Scott Ledbetter told Kaitlyn’s sister that she was missing, her sister was upset and wanted to come look for her (She lived about 5 hours away) but Scott told her not to come. Kaitlyn’s sister ignored this and came to search for her sister. -On May 3rd Kaitlyn’s sister wakes her Scott in the morning to file a missing persons report, he tells her he wants more sleep and wasn’t ready, so she waited a few more hours, and around 9:20 AM and Scott and his girlfriend claim they went to make a missing persons report. According to Kaitlyn’s sister, they were denied from making a missing persons report stating that the police had told them she is an adult and there was not much they could do about it. -After Scott was unable to file a report, Scott, Kaitlyn’s sister, and brother all went searching for Kaitlyn. Her sister claims this is the only time Scott searched for Kaitlyn. -During the search done by the family Scott comes back with his shirt off (despite it sprinkling and being a bit cold out) crying and then went into the house and cries sitting on a chair for 45 minutes -Scott told Kaitlyn’s sister that the argument was about Kaitlyn's boyfriend staying all night with her and he didn’t want him there -Scott’s girlfriend Crystal told Kaitlyn’s sister that Kaitlyn was trying to sacrifice her or her dog and that Kaitlyn had the dog in her room with her and Scott kicked in the door and Kaitlyn got scared and jumped out the window -Allegedly Scott and Crystal were heavy drug users and Scott has been for years -Kaitlyn’s boyfriend would spend time with Scott at the house when Kaitlyn would travel or go somewhere but her sister says Scott was fine with this but not with her boyfriend being there all night with Kaitlyn -Her sister claims there was “more” of a relationship between Scott and Kaitlyn’s boyfriend, this had been going on for two years and Kaitlyn had evidence of it -Kaitlyn’s sister leaves but returns soon after to do more searching and Scott tells her she is not welcome and he will call the police on her if she does not leave (her sister mentions in the interview that they had a difficult relationship, he was very mean to her in general) -Kaitlyn’s Aunt alleges she heard the police state that Kaitlyn’s boyfriend was a drug supplier, this was told to the police by Scott and the Aunt claims it is not true -Kaitlyn only used wi-fi on her phone, she did not have a data plan, so they don’t understand how she could have texted them all again after 7 if she was somewhere in the woods It sounds like the police have just decided she left on her own and is an adult and they don’t really care sadly

The fact that the dogs didn't even pick up a scent under the window or anywhere outside debunks the falling in a hole thing or any other peril that could have happened outdoors. Dads daughter is missing and his girlfriend is dead from a house fire! It doesn't take a Hercule Poirot to deduce Dad is involved.

Tennessee is a “good ole boy “ state when it comes to criminal investigation.The dad moving just after this is one of the classic examples of what someone who is guilty of their first murder does,but there are exceptions.

People with connections have ways of killing these types of stories, so yah please be careful and I agree 100% it seems like foul play involved in this. We're talking about Tennessee Law Enforcement here...seems like even the sloppiest, most slovenly moronic criminals can get away with "un-aliving" someone- FOREVER!( ever heard of the Summer Wells case? Thats an excellent example of BOTH a "laid back" slow moving investigation, as well as some VERY unstressed Parents( the un- alivers). I hope you could get access to search this area. That would be a great video! Thank you for keeping the missing's names out there!👍

With me being a father myself, there is no way I would leave it like this if I was innocent of any wrongdoing, I would have ripped the woods apart to find my daughter, searched all the caves and underground system, No in my mind the father knows what happened to his daughter. the fire!! to convenient in my mind, could be the father is responsible for both situations, time will tell nug, you do well in keeping these cases in the forefront of people's minds, keeping them alive, good job,

Makes no sense!

I used to work at a cemetery and this lady was looking for her brother she got a private investigator but luck so she got in touch with the state and they told her that we had buried her brother

What was the argument supposedly about with Dad? Had to be a pretty extreme argument that she would want to jump out of the window like that? Also seems like she might have been running for her life, afraid of dad. Nothing good for why she would do anything like that.

Wow.. so suspicious sounding..maybe the girlfriend knew something and she had to be hushed up (so to speak) maybe the dad (if he hurt or killed her) put her body into one of these caves..

If the dogs found no scent falling in a cave is out of the equation

When the father said jump he might not have meant she leapt from the window to the ground. He might have just meant that she left quickly through the window. In the same colloquial way that people say they jumped into the car or jumped into bed. Seven foot isn't that far from a window to the ground. If you dangle by your arms from the bottom of the window there's not going to be much of a drop left. If you sit in the window frame and jump from there it's going to be a drop of about four feet.

The cops in this area do not care about the missing but I 100% think the dad did it!!

Keep it up! Definitely foul play, you don’t go out a 6-7ft window in PJ’s and no shoes and not do damage to yourself or something else on the way down. Do we know what the movements were of the dad, girlfriend etc in the 48h before and after?

The one good thing Tennessee has going for it is that the majority of the cadaver search dogs there are actually trained at the Body Farm, so they can easily find a body in different stages of decomposition. Not all cadaver dog on trained on actual human corpses. Those in many other areas are trained using chemicals called cadaverene and putrisene, which are meant to mimic the smell of decomposing human remains. Tennessee is one of only five states that have a Body Farm to train cadaver dogs on the real deal. They can smell it deep underground, through concrete, and in water. IMO, if they didn’t pick up her scent, she never went out that window and through those woods. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, look up The Body Farm in Knoxville, TN. We have one here in Wisconsin, too. I found out about these when I served on the committee to help get the approval to put in the Body Farm here in WI. It’s a tremendous research tool, but it’s nit so great if you’re a landowner down wind of one, especially on a hot summer day.

Wow! I agree with you. Maybe the girlfriend was getting scared about what happened to the daughter and was wanting to come clean and dad just decided to off the girlfriend to make sure he never got caught. Sounds like the “good ole boys” system somewhere in the police/investigator line to not have the dad as a suspect.
