I didn't know that Rhianna had a doctorate. As someone who is currently working on my doctorate, I know how much time and work goes into this. Hey y'all...this coastal Alabama gal wants to congratulate Tianna, way to go sweet girl! I'm now 73, and I remember mak8ng my first swim team the "flying fish" ...I swam competivly until I was 18,even qualifying for the Olympics until I,had a horrible bike accident and destroyed my right ankle, so bye-bye Olympics 😢...but hey,it all turned out great, I was an instructor, a coach ,a lifeguard and taught private kessons that taught new Momma's how to teach their babies 9 months old and up how to swim! What great "water" memories! Y'all are amazing parents and I know it's hard to watch your baby grow up, but just know how fabulous she is!

I can truly relate to what Jon is saying. I am sixty three years, I was born in South America and I have a speech problem. I stutter, and I was teased badly in school, it got to the point where I sat at the back of the class praying the teacher would not call on me for the answers, I knew the school work but I was so afraid to speak in school. I grew up in a loving family, I was never picked on by my family, they encouraged me to speak, come out of my shell. Now I am the mother of two grown sons, one is at the university the other one is in college and they both stutter, my sons are very smart. I have protected them all their lives from bullies because of their stuttering. We as parents don't want our kids to go through what we have been through. Jon don't stress over your daughter's speech she will be fine, you and your wife are great parents with lots of love to give her. You have turned out to be a wonderful person with a wonderful family. My daughter could not pronounce the word properly, so she thought my daughter had said a bad word to her. My daughter was so sad/ hurt, and my heart was broken for her. So do all you can for her. Hahaha welcome to early mornings! Wait until h.s. swim team practices twice a day! Swimming is a good clean sport .... Here's something most people don't know. When I was a teen my girl scout troop used to volunteer to do patterning. Its a therapy for people with brain disorder. It takes 5 people. One to stand and turn the head side to side, 4 one on each limb to alternate mimicking crawling. The crawling movement stimulates the brain from side to side reconnecting the brain synopsis. Why it is important to let babies crawl! Not sitting in a scoot seat or in a bouncy. AND swimming is all about the crawl stroke, freestyle. That tip will help you sit thru all those swim hrs!
