Greg you definitely need some "feather boards" on that table saw ( especially when working alone ) Google 'feather boards' as they hold the material tight to the saw and fence when working short handed

Its a sad commentary that "frugal" had become a somewhat negative term. Its a virtue to me. Making do with what you have and spending wisely has allowed you to build a house debt free. An amazing accomplishment in todays world.

I’m so frugal and I see people just spending money like it’s water. If something bad ever happens to them, like losing employment they literally have one or two months worth of money. It doesn’t take long to lose everything you have.

Greg your work ethic is amazing! Most guys would sit back & wait for their partner to come home to make the two person job go easier! Nice you acknowledge how much easier Katie makes the work! I thought getting sheets changed, two loads of laundry done, bills paid & supper cooked was a big accomplishment day! You put me to shame😂😂😂 It looks absolutely beautiful! Great job!

I feel your pain. My wife has back issues so really can't help me with projects around the house, and I'm in my "golden years", so these kinds of projects take a lot of braining to overcome the lack of brawn.

That’s how we cap our Parapet’s in Florida, Hurricane country. The only difference is we face clip the cap. I spoke too soon, you did face clip it. The metal will never come off. Since we get so much torrential rain we put a water block on the metal laps. In Florida, no metal on metal.

Hi Greg. I enjoyed this video a lot and learned a great deal. So the top cap hooks on the outside edge and then is simply a friction fit over the top and inside parapet edge? I really like the detail and final appearance of trimming out the scupper drain, it looks great! I dislike ripping full sheets alone as well; so much more difficult. You may not be a sheet metal worker, but you have always impressed the heck out of me with your skill level and ability with working with sheet metal. All the work turned out excellent and I"m sure Katie loved it and appreciated that it was finished. I hope she had a great visit with her mom. Have a good week you guys. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.

I seldom comment but you need to build stands for the planer and table saw. (you have plenty of wood and knowhow). Make the stands so you can use your sawhorses as infeed/outfeed tables. It will make sawing easier and MUCH safer.
