Growing up in the 60s & 70s the black kids in my school dressed nice, went to church, had 2 parents, made good grades, didn't get pregnant in high school or do drugs & probably finished college. At some point gangster culture crept into rap music & it went downhill. Kids wanted to be gangsters & their kids wanted to be gangsters. According to a few Black friends there's pressure to say nothing or do nothing about it. They used to call that "keepin' it real." Years of that has lowered the bar. I think Blacks were better off 50 years ago. I completely agree with the woman in the video. For the benefit of the Black community this topic should be discussed openly & often.

Them folks in the c-suite realized that degeneracy sold like hot cakes so even though they know it is terrible and will never let their own children partake, they choose to highlight the worst part of black people then convinced EVERYONE that ghetto is what it means to be black. They convince so may ppl so strongly that you will have IVY league trained really saying that drill music, toxic lyrics and other foulness is "just for fun and what is means to be black".

The ratchets are not gonna like this, thank you for your stand. It is a shame how folks act in our community nowadays embarrassing to say the least, sometimes when stuff happens in my city, I dread coming to work. Unexcusable we let our kids listen to everything do everything. Not having control of their social media, approving gang culture, fathers not doing their job, very sad

I don’t think she has any ratchet subscribers so they will never see this.

Cardi B shocked me when she released her track WAP. We need role models in society.....there are no boundaries anymore... young society is crumbling.

America has a history of promoting ignorance as cool and sexy and we all know sex sells. Well informed, well mannered people don't get talked about on TV and movies or entertainment in general. Remember the vast majority of societal problems can be traced back to money. The pursuit of it or with holding of it. I feel this ladies frustration, but honestly we can only do the best we can and try to avoid trashy people no matter what they look like. Good luck out there.👍😁👍

@@Nichole-1989she’s worst with her song poundtown and how many kids and teenagers love that gross song there’s a video of a dance teacher that teaches kindergartners how to dance and she broke down because they want to twerk to that song

@@Nichole-1989 - Those two actually collabed on at least one song, "Born by the River". One of Sexyy Red's lines is "That's why I kept your baby... gave me the ab0rtion money I went and bought some wet and wavy!" 😮🤭

@@ACinemafanatic I literally just looked up the song "Pound Town" and I can't tell you how quickly I turned that trash off. The first line was too much already. It was like poison to my ears and a cliff dive in my I.Q. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Yeah...no. I loved The Cosby Show, but he's being judged because he's a sexual predator. You can't ignore that just because he also did some good things for the black community.

I blame parenting. Black people seem to think that sending your kids to school is the best form of parenting that you can do. Then there's a lack of objective morality, everyone want's to make up their own right and wrong.

Thank you, I thought I was the only one. People need to learn American history as it relates to African Americans and successful progressive communities and how they were ruined and who exactly was at the root of that ruination. And who controls the narratives in the media.
