History is full of people who have tried to hide their bigotry in these ways. If someone was lurking around your house, pushing on windows and turning door handles or banging on them.. in the middle of the night.. is that neutral behavior to you? Or does it seem like they're trying to break into your house..? What if you confronted them, if they told you "Oh I was just checking to see if someone was home, I just want to talk to you." and then they went straight back to what they were doing..? I mean, I would interpret that as threatening behavior, not someone who is just innocently trying to have a conversation with me at 1am.. _________ So you know you have an opinion about a group of people, and you know that opinion is something that group of people thinks is hostile or antagonistic or hateful.. and you as an "empathetic" person are trying to argue and not to listen. What do you think that tells us.. He didn't have to make you look Transphobic.. what you were saying tells us that. Your words and your attitude are betrays you. Two small points of disagreement. I don't think it's a good argument to say that you're cis and therefore can't be cisphobic. That makes as much sense as saying if you're trans you can't be transphobic or if you're black you can't be racist against black people, and Blaire White's and Candace Owens' existence disproves that. I also don't think it's true to say that an inanimate object isn't a social construct. What is a chair? There isn't a definition that includes all chairs and doesn't exclude any chairs. It's just a disingenuous argument for people to say they identify as a lightbulb, because we don't use the term lightbulb to describe our internal sense of being. Otherwise, good arguments. I just think those two small points detract slightly from the debate.

However, that also does NOT mean you get to FORCE your BELIEF into the laws that govern our society. BELIEF is meant to CONNECT and inspire, not divide and conquer. Honoring different opinions as they are, according FACT, allows us to honor all people and their beliefs. No belief should be forced and if our beliefs cause / are correlated with harm and death, we must investigate them. ❤
