I dont hear any good new historical novels coming rom the anglosphere. I only know fantasy novels, many of them look like historical novels who had beed added magic and imaginary setting just for make them commercial. He, the opossite of the soviets, were fantasy novels had to be dressed as scify. Some far rigth guy said me that latins prefer more realism and nordics the fantay, ffrom at least a thousand years, just see the difference between the arthur tales and the song of mio cid. Here in Spain the historical novels has more favour, and in latinamerica if they do fantasy they do as magical realism. A pair of quite succesful novels of the last years was about Julia Domna.
