The son of Waukesha parade attack victim and dancing granny Leanna Joy Owen ripped into Darrell Brooks for killing his mother. "The reason none of the witnesses saw her in this courtroom is because she was executed by a child-killing sex offender," Chris Owen said.

Except he’s giving himself away. He’s proving that he’s hearing every single word & it’s getting to him. Brooks is a child trying to pretend he doesn’t care. He might not care about the people he hit, because they had no meaning to him. But these people are hitting at his ego. Calling him a monster, evil, nothing, soulless etc. And to a malignant narcissist like him there is no way to hurt him more than to attack him personally & make him feel belittled.

If it’s not already eating away at him inside, I have a feeling it’ll hit him like a Mack truck a year or two from now. Maybe he’ll be alone in the quiet and 24/7 fluorescent lights of solitary confinement; maybe it’ll happen as a “life review” in his final moments while being choked out by some violent criminal who has infinitely more empathy than him. Maybe we’ll all get lucky and itll be both lol: eat away at him for years until one especially unhappy finale 🤷🏻

You are so very right. When you think you are doing okay, and grieving.. the small, basic things are what hurt the most. My mom died 3 years ago. She was only 48, suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and died 7 months later. I will be in the grocery store and see something she would love, I actually grabbed my phone to call her and ask for a recipe one time.. I was so unprepared to lose my mom and still am in denial. I can hate cancer, everyone hates cancer. But to see THIS monster, knowing he is what ruined your life.. to see the joke he made of this case and the f*king audacity he has to roll his eyes and clap his hands, I can not fathom the HATE these families must feel. His pain and anger was flowing through his veins. Between this case and Parkland shooter, the injustice these *innocent* people are experiencing breaks my heart and that's only viewing through my phone screen. I would want to attack him. The restraint this man had. 👏🏻

Exactly. It’s the memories we have. My Poppy passed March 2021 and today in the car “Frosty the Snowman” came on the radio. My 9 year old has been complaining about Christmas music but she laughed and said “Poppy used to sneak me in his room after bedtime to watch Frosty the Snowman and one time we took me to get a snow cone and we left a note in case you came to check on me and I was missing. He wrote “ Took my princess to get a snow cone after watching Frosty. Deal with it. Love, Poppy” LOL he didn’t care what the parents said, mine when I was a kid or me as a parent with my daughter. He spoiled his grandchildren and great grand daughter. I can’t imagine losing him the way these families lost their family members. He won't be haunted by the victims, that would require empathy; something a psychopath lacks. The way his brain is wired means he is literally incapable of caring. All we can hope for is that his time in prison sucks and makes him bored/angry/miserable, because that's as good as it's gonna get. These court victims might as well be talking to a wall, it sucks but it's reality. Brooks has never, and will never care about the victims.

Even people with mental illness can show remorse if during a bipolar episode they mowed down and killed innocent people. The fact that Darrell Brooks can roll his eyes, laugh, and mock the victims families is proof he knew exactly what he was and is doing, because anyone with half a heart would feel deep remorse and have the respect to show the victims families and the court that they are truly regretful and sorry. Exactly. I think he doesn’t comprehend the concept of accountability. How could he? No job Lives with mom No car/no license Multi-felon Deadbeat dad Sex offender Woman-beater Etc etc. Through his entire 40 years he has shown no true, tangible responsibilities for anything. Instead he has ducked and dodged his was from taking any accountability until he finds himself at this age, straight loser, and the inability to think of anyone but himself. The only GOOD news is that it’s obvious deep down he is a coward. This was evident when he was arrested. It was evident during his questioning, and he will struggle in prison for being such a “Ho” as the streets would consider him. I doubt he will even make general population in prison (which is even better) as it means he will be in lock down most of the time. I imagine they will send him to Dodge Correctional facility as they have a lot of “high-profile” inmates there. That place is supposed to be pretty bad for level 3+ inmates, which he will definitely be categorized based on his behavior.

Especially when the murderer did a silent clap at the end. Watching so many murder trials these days I can’t help but feel no justice is being served. It’s like watching a horrible tv series where the criminals are the main characters getting their own show. Bring back the death sentence. I’d like to see how many of these lunatics would be silently clapping knowing they’re about to get fried.

Chris, I always tell my daughters I want to see Machu Pichu before I die. They've heard it so many times... if I ever do, I'll remember your mom and give a prayer for her. You spoke for everyone that has lived through this trial. You have our gratitude because all of us wanted to shout angrily at that egotistical monster. And as a mom, please be sure your mom knew every time how sorry you were because she absolutely knew you loved her. We know, she definitely knew how much you loved her. May you and your family have the certainty she is in a beautiful better place.

I lost my mother when I was 25 years old, it took me years to finally come to terms of losing someone so close when it wasn't their time. For this man to have had significantly longer with his mother, and it still not be her time, must be the worst pain that man has ever felt. God bless them, this must be unbearable to do.

It ate her up in a few months. So I also feel this man's pain of losing someone so close and yours as well. Prayers to u and all the victims that lost loved ones. As a mother of a Marine, I will tell you this gentleman restrained himself with the utmost class and dignity. My heart bleeds for him especially as he admits he was at times a very difficult son. Anyone who has raised a Marine, knows that being that difficult child is what helped him succeed as a Marine. My thoughts are with every single victim, but I hope this one know that his mother knew how much he truly loved her all of his life. She knew it was what made him who he was. ❤🦅🌎⚓️❤️

obviously this differs from person to person but there are many instances where families have said the execution did not help the healing process at all, and most studies done on this point to another fact; that people dont realize this until after the execution takes place. though you can easily say that there are a lot of instances where families have said the opposite. just trying to say that not everyone believes that another death fills the void of losing someone. most people see healing as a process and not an event.

It doesn't. It's revenge & vengeance, not justice, but I can see the point. Personally I'm not ok with the same gov that is responsible for the DMV & IRS, given authority to execute its citizens. If even one innocent life is taken, it's wrong. And if you say "well it's worth it/acceptable/that's what happens", answer it again if you or someone you loved were the one being executed. All that said, yeah dude is a waste of oxygen. Horrible all around.
