I'm Navajo now elderly....in my early years about 17 to 19 ish My dad & mom use to work at local Trading post they worked as butchers and searing sheep...on weekends my dad and I use shear sheep with clippers no electric clippers...it was hot and lots of tick we'd have to tie our sleeves it was hard work! My dad died in 2005 my mom passed in 2000. But you shearing sure brings lots of memories... thank you both for what you do. ... I'm in my 60's and not good health. ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰

i think my favourite part of watching your videos is seeing a pattern the animals have under all the fur. will they be one solid colour or have tiny spots? who knows :D

Interesting - just realized the llama shearing pattern seems to go with the direction the hair grows. A lot of the sheep shearing patterns shear the belly from front to back, but do their backs, from rump to head. In any case, these seemed to be very pleasant, relaxed critters enjoying the buzz of the shears and the feel of air on their skins for the first time in quite a while!

Woah. The blanket off the sides of the first llama was so clean, soft, and silky it looked like multi-colored milkweed fluff. I just wanted to grab handfuls of it and rub my fingers through it. I'm betting that's a pet llama or show llama (is there such a thing? There must be...) I love seeing the coat patterns and thinking about the garments that will be made from all that wonderful floof. ❤
