Seriously, I've been watching Uncle Roger for several months, and my girlfriend bought me a wok. I've cooked egg fried rice using what I've learned from his videos, and it's been way better than I've ever had at a restaurant. Word of warning: Go easy on the sambal. Just a little will set your mouth on fire.

im really glad to see your reactions to uncle roger. he is one interesting character. he actually got his degree from the US and now lives in the UK but is from Malaysia where i'm from. In Malaysia, food is a very important part of our culture and everyone is a food critic. We are exposed to all types of asian food from all over the region, malay, chinese, indian, thai, indonesian, etc. street food is also huge and available 24/7. you can easily go out anywhere and get a 'nasi goreng' at 3am in the morning, freshly cooked for you. keep the content coming.

Great reaction, I think nowadays it's rare to see house with outdoor kitchen in Asian house especially me in Indonesia. But my parents house still have outdoor kitchen and my Mom still use it, the house itself has been there since my great grandparents, it's an old house, so I think you can find outdoor kitchen only on an old house

Nasi goreng (fried rice) is not only the word for Indonesian. We Malaysian call our fried rice "Nasi Goreng" too. Indonesian and Malaysian language are like brother and sister. Nice pronouncing the Nasi Goreng Shea. 👏👏👏 Edit: Uncle Roger is from Malaysia. So I recognized the chinese accent like "haiiyaa" and "fuiiyooo". Fuiyooo is widely used in Malaysia regardless of races and religion, it's a significant word to express impressed about something. 😀
