Dom really was a highlight. Obviously he wasn’t perfect, but he was supportive, told it like it was, and did whatever he could to help. Considering most of these restaurant owners and chefs aren’t able to move past their ego it was very refreshing to hear him go “I personally like this food but Gordon is a world renowned chef and I’m not, so his opinion on the food should be taken over mine.”

And he's the only person who has brain in that restaurant and he knew the real problems are the owners and their incompetence attitudes.

That made me laugh out loud when he said that😂

I was eating when that scene started so when I looked up I just saw a cup of coffee explode, and I was pretty sure that what did happen was what happened but the thought that popped up in my head was that someone out of frame just chucked a cup of coffee at them

I also noticed that this episode feels shorter than any episodes of KN ever. Also, Dom is just brutally honest and he's not totally the "bad guy" on the episode. He knows what happened. Also, Kevin is just accepted that the "Bomb Burger" is gone instead of wasting time to argue about it. You can see he's devastated at first but he quickly accept it. The only problems that they have are lack of leadership, limited plates and menus, and budgeting.

They couldn’t really argue because they were in A LOT of debt I think they said one million dollars which would take a very long time to pay off

They eventually had to close or sell the restaurant I think, I know the Son of the owner owns a company now or something, I forgot how I found that out.

Facts

The owners were mature enough to work with change. And it’s refeeshing. And I hope they are still in business after all these years. They seem like really good owners and people.

Hope the restaurant did well after this episode, not many do all that well even with Gordon’s help.

I heard they survive for 26 months or so. As soon as they paid all debt, they sold the restaurant. Idk about this though, since my own source is from other comment, so its basically "Source: trust me bro" 🤣

I thought he's gonna be the "bad guy" on this episode turns out he's the only person who has brain in that restaurant. I also noticed when Gordon said "The Bomb Burger is gone", look at Kevin's face. He looks devastated at first but he quickly accepted it. Usually, in KN episodes, the chef is always too stubborn but Kevin is not one of them. He was just too lazy to season it.

Those fckn smokers man. I used to be one of the only ones that didn't smoke in all the jobs I had. Smokers had more breaks doing their smoke breaks, rather than just the lunch break. Super annoying when you are trying to get things done and they are more worried about smoking than their jobs. I get nicotine is addictive so for some ppl I'm sure they feel they need it at times, but you should still be conscious about how it affects other ppl

I thought he's gonna be the "bad guy" of this episode because his face looked punchable. But, turns out, he's the only person who has brains on that restaurant and he didn't too judgmental of the food because he knows it's out of his element. Also, the way he stormed off on staff meeting really makes sense because he pissed how incompetence the owners are and you noticed that Gordon didn't chase him or call him because he's right.

I think a lot of the time people in construction have actual problems. Life, family, etc. Their truck broke so they're fixing it. They broke a bone so they're working while in pain. 😂. I've been around them my whole career. Meanwhile office people are complaining about the water taste at the drinking fountain (I've actually seen this). Their car breaks and they sink because they aren't capable of handling adversity. He's just self aware, and isn't sure why nobody tries to fix their problem if they see it.

It's a known fact that when they filmed these, that they put up signs outside to complain about things youd normally keep quiet about. Most people have complaints but wont voice them or come back.

I don't buy that. You see in every service they get plate after plate returned. The more filled the resteraunt, the more plates returned

i mean it is still a tv show, but most customers are too polite to send something back. So i believe the reaction of some owners when they see the plates coming back is genuine
