DO NOT add essential oils to your dryer balls, UNLESS you want to light your house on fire! Google why NOT to do this, it’s combustible😮. Anyone saying that everything is toxic, is trying to sell you something. Just keep that in mind.

Hi- Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser ingredients: WATER, GLYCERIN, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, PANTHENOL, NIACINAMIDE, PANTOLACTONE, XANTHAN GUM, SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, CITRIC ACID- where’s the Parabens? I use it specifically because it’s Paraben and Fragrance free

Welllll…I stand corrected!!! I was so confused because I have an actual Cetaphil bottle showing parabens as ingredients. So I looked into this further and they completely changed the formula in 2022!!! Always learning! 😩

Remember, everyone, that some products sold on Amazon are OLD, OLD PRODUCTS. Some people actually dumpster dive for products to sell, and some are discarded because, like this, the previous product was bad for you and has been either taken off the market or changed formulas, and some are actually out of date by years. Always ask the seller where they got the product and the expiration date. Some of them just buy truckloads of products and don't check them at all. I once bought some probiotics on Amazon that were a year out of date. Some things can be out of date and still be good, but not probiotics.

@@dsa2591 How is any of this relevant to the conversation? Cetaphil does not now contain the ingredients she states it does and hasn’t since 2021. If she is using old outdated stock to base her claims of toxicity on then she should be made aware of her error.

Veterinary technician here-there is very little safety testing on either of those flea meds you suggested. I’m wondering why you don’t recommend the ones that are veterinary approved and go through multiple rounds of testing that takes years before they are on the market? There is already enough misinformation in regards to veterinary care, would strongly recommend pet owners to speak to their veterinarians regarding any type of medication.
@sirtsupirtsu
@sirtsupirtsu 9 ай бұрын
Seems like there is a lot of misinformation in this video. This is sad. Cetaphil cleanser is totally safe to use as well. What is harmful for skin is mold. And tugging on skin with towel that you do not clean each day. That towel is a breeding ground for bacteria.
@kelle1808
@kelle1808 6 ай бұрын
It is my understanding that doctor, vet,etc “approved” means nothing and “tested” means that is what you want i.e. doctor “tested” vet “tested”. Language is tricky. Also, homeopathic type products are not tested unfortunately. I personally am comfortable reading reviews from people who aren’t being paid to spread lies.

A few years ago, my face kept breaking out with a rash & acne. I finally saw my dr about it & she asked what do you wash your face with? Cetaphil, & she looked it up in her medical allergen software & it caused the exact problems I had been battling for months. I didn’t know you could be allergic to Cetaphil, the “gentle” cleanser that claims it’s dermatologist recommended. I bought the face towels when you recommended them & I absolutely LOVE them! Hooray !So glad you were doing this video. Recently, I’ve been made aware of all the phthalates, which I’m assuming is part of that PFAS situation. I guess it’s 75 I have lived almost my whole life surrounded by plastic but the past 10 years or so we just do everything we buy our food in plastic. We store our food in plastic. We microwave our food and plastic on and on and on. I have commented to a few of the beauty community influencers that I watch to do an in-depth group of videos on how we can remove the harmful chemicals in our life, and what exactly of our products contains them. I know this is a huge undertaking. i’ve gotten rid of all my plasticware and go onto glass. I removed the laundry detergent that I use and I’ve gone to the clean one, but it’s so hard to try and find all of these products. I’ve even gotten rid of my garbage bags and storage bags by using compostable and biodegradable ones. I’ve also stopped using the plug ins and am using the essential oil ones along with all my harmful candles But where do we go from here? I know you mentioned the mascara, but how do we as a community who is looking to be healthy for ourselves and our children and my kids my grandchildren categorize these products. It’s a huge undertaking as I said but really important.

You can get so brainwashed in all the things that are terrible for us, and it sends you in this tailspin of changing everything in your life that you consume. But at the end of the day, the science behind so many things is ever changing and NO ONE will know what truly causes something for decades and decades when they study us decades in the future. I would recommend anyone with concerns re flea and tick medications please consult your veterinarian. These bugs can spread some nasty diseases and in many parts of the country, mosquitos spread heart worms, which can be deadly to your pet. It ultimately is your choice what you feel comfortable using but there are many options available and consulting your vet is your best bet make an informed decision. Also a good idea in regards to essential oil use in a pet household.

Right?! Like, I can’t help but say something when anyone in my family (including sibling in-laws, so that’s 8 adults that I do this to on a regular basis haha) is using something that I know has toxins in it I shudder when I think of things I used to use on the reg, before I read books and shiz and keep up to date on studies. It’s so disturbing how many toxins we’re exposed to even when we do everything in our own power to avoid them…and how our body’s toxic burdens can have such a huge impact on our health/lives in general. Wish more people were aware! I only educated myself after becoming extremely I’ll and being bedridden for a couple of years in my early/mid twenties. I can’t say for sure whether or not I’d be as outspoken, or even have taken the time to LEARN about it all, as I am now HAD I never gotten so sick! The lack of regulation regarding ingredients that SHOULD BE BANNED-and ARE banned in European countries-in the most common products used daily is so frustratiiing! Omg did I just randomly go off? I love your content but I think it would be a really nice improvement if you got expert advice on the products you deem "unhealthy" vs "healthy". Endocrinologist for hormones, pulmonologist for respiratory, and dermatologist for skin.. instead of basing your decision purely on ingredients. There's just too many predatory marketing gimmicks out there to convince you things are bad when they really aren't. I'm happy you are doing some research though! Just wish you would take it one step further. 😊 Maybe doing a video on wether the products you recommend are doctor approved or mostly a gimmick? It might be difficult to find docs willing to spend time with you to do that type of video. Like maybe Dr.Drey or another expert that's already on KZfaq would be willing too? Idk, just food for thought. 😉

The wool balls are great but they don’t work for static for us. I’ve heard you can add some safety pins to them and that helps. I’m going to try that this winter. I agree with you on most things you just said. But for dogs sorry that's almost a hard no for me. But I would like to hear you out first. I use Simparica Trio for my dog. Because there is nothing else out there that covers. 1- fleas 2- different kinds of ticks 3- heartworm 4- roundworms 5- hookworms all in one pill or treatment. If there is please let me know. I do know someone that used some kind of natural oils on their dog. And the dog was always getting fleas anyway.

It would have been helpful to at least share your sources or any evidence you have about the harm/toxicity of some of the products you featured in the video. For example, I’ve never read any reliable sources on harm posed by parabens. I fear that unbacked claims contribute to the spread of misinformation which actually causes more harm than good. Such claims must be backed by good scientific research and not hearsay or pseudoscientific rhetoric.

All right, parabens are not bad. Without parabens a lot of these all natural products grow mold in them and are consumed like crazy so the healthy product ends up being quite unhealthy in the end. Chemicals are everywhere. It’s really important for us to educate ourselves properly and understand that there is a lot greenwashing and certain man-made chemicals that have been demonized are actually fine in small doses, and perhaps maybe even much safer than the alternative “healthy” choice

@@deniset8380I 100% agree with you about the coffee needing sugar as opposed to other sweeteners. I began a new regimen this spring where I use just half honey and half sugar. It’s working great for me for the past 5-6 months now! I have never been a fan of honey; but when doing it this way, I can almost not taste the honey at all. And I do feel that it’s crucial to not taint the pure coffee flavor- it needs to shine through! As I said, I’ve never been a honey fan (except in hot tea, basically)- so believe me, I would not be doing this at all if I could really taste it in the coffee. Sorry for being a bit longwinded; hope this helps! ☕️😋

@@yanelisoto1oh good god…this is a perfect example of the naivety/ignorance regarding this topic. THERE IS SO MUCH SCIENCE, hahahha. The problem is that you listen to what is likely one network where you get all your news/“info”, and they happen to be known to lie, and have admitted to doing so behind closed doors. Pleeeease don’t allow yourself to come to conclusions of ANY kind when it’s coming from a biased source. And even though you may want to argue that *it’s not biased* -this is when you just have to get honest with yourself, and decide whether you want to feel truly educated and gain a sense of pride for having done the research on your own….or continue doin what your doin. I hope you don’t get sick or run into health struggles in the future and have to think “what if”. I’m so outspoken about this because of HOW MUCH TIME I’ve spent ACTUALLY LEARNING about the science that indeed DOES exist-and there’s a WHOLE lot of it, too….but I’m willing to respond to these types of comments in hopes of getting through to people so they can potentially prevent anything remotely similar to the hellish nightmares I’ve been through, and am still going through, when it comes to my own health. I wouldn’t wish-on my worst enemy-the insanely complex, confusing, and now far too common chronic disease/group of infectious diseases-that took me to the very lowest place (lower than I ever imagined possible growing up) in my life. Others who’ve been through/are going through it tend to always say this exact thing. Like, we get to a point where something happens and we realize that in order for us to have changed as a person, this HAD to happen to/for us…but it’s such misery, both physically and mentally, that the thought of anyone going through it unnecessarily makes me extremely sad. Now you’re probably going to respond with “didn’t need your life story” or something-but my brain is actually fucked up as a direct result of the microbes/parasites/opportunistic infections that worsened by adhd tenfold, and has shrunken my vocabulary by at least 50% hahaha I feel SO stupid sometimes-just depends on the day. But the long/oversharing included in this comment has been brought to you by: ADHD🙃 I hope I didn’t come off to harshly etc eek….I can just get quite worked up when people say this, as it adds to the ACTUAL disinformation-which is that there is not science that supports this information. The more we know, the healthier and happier we can all be!! Best to you!
