Now THAT’s Film Noir. Many movies are erroneously described as Film Noir, but this is the real deal. Very 40s. Excellent story and script. June Vincent makes an excellent Femme Fatale.

Cool. I don’t know the circumstances, but I know how I am with my grandkids. I live for them in the way your grandparents loved you . Being a grandpa is the most significant thing I’ve been involved with because I was too wrapped up in my job with my own kids. When you have TIME and a big heart for children it only increases your overall love for life. It’s too heartbreaking with my two sons that I had to work so much I didn’t get to totally enjoy my children as I do my grandchildren.

A father, a second wife, a son from a previous marriage, financial desperation, the quest for truth and a private investigator obsessed with fives who walks a line between ethics and avarice, murder, fraud and betrayal. Lots going on in this film with twists and turns. Very enjoyable for the period.

Jack Val I don't know where to begin. First of all this wasn't a B movie; this was a C- movie at best. The writing was awful and every performance was completely wooden. Not one single spark of real human emotion; just strung-together clichés. A plot that makes little sense. Characters cut out of cereal box. It was what it was-- a cheap B movie made from a dime store novel. The set and costume design were good.😋

Why do I get the feeling that every character that elisha cook played had ever had a happy day in his entire life? Jack palance baits him in Shane and sends him to perdition in a muddy street. Humphrey Bogart steals his 45s from him and marches him into his bosses office to embarrass him. And in the killing his cheating wife is leaving him for another man. He was a wonderful actor. Completely underrated and unappreciated. Rip elisha cook and thank you so much for making my childhood memories unforgettable.
