New age mattress companies like The Sleep Company have mostly solved the problem of transportation/logistics as their product comes in a rectangular box which is compact and when you open the box within 30 minutes it becomes a full fledged mattress. Old age mattress companies face a trouble of bad publicity when it comes to health issues originating from the continuous usage of foam mattresses(coir is a no go). Hotel mostly use spring based mattresses so there too S/W or Kurl-on don't score much. The unorganised sector still mostly relies on cheap cotton mattresses. The mattress from "the Sleep company" is excellent for who can spend. All in all Sheela foams is missing Moat. Apart from that,No. 3 player in the market selling off entire stake to its competitor is also not very encouraging in terms of mattress market as a whole.

An interesting thing to note is that when they had less borrowings they paid more interest but now when they have more borrowings they are paying less interest.

Sir things are changing on ground ,they are so many un organized players like it would be difficult for the unorganized players to survive, if you check a lot of mattress came and go shut in not a long time, people look for cheap mattress and if they come with cheap mattress surely their product would be hit becoz uorganized players provide mattress without any warranty and gurantee wheres as sleepweel, kurlon godrej provide mattress with warranty and gurantee,there is a lot of scope for them to imporev
