YES WE FIGHT! And our most recent blow-up prompted this episode! Although it may seem like we are always laughing and having a good time (which is true a lot of the time), we also, like every other couple, frustrate each other and fight! Which brings you to the most important skill: making up!

I would totally watch a kitchen camera sitcom of this family. 😂 (despite Sheena's protests)

Making our children laugh so much they throw up...? Did Sheena just say this? Of course she did and of course Trid did. Funniest family alive.

I truly live for Trid in his serious moments. It’s powerful, yet comforting to hear his views on things. I think we need a podcast of Trid fully serious. He truly reminds me of my brother and it makes me emotional 🥹❤ I love your support system!

Cameras in the kitchen, but not to share the moments with us. Do it so your kids have those memories when they are adults. My dad was a lot like Trid, I wish I had videos of those moments full of joy to look back on and to hear his laugh and his voice.

We have been married for 40 years this year and the best phrase I ever learned was 'Yes Dear!' 😂😂 It has saved my head from that savagery that happens if we don't say that soon enough 😂😂 We tend to say what the issue is and either agree and move on putting that behind us, or we disagree and maybe talk again when we are calm or agree to disagree. Either way, we have always said goodnight and I love you, whether it is sarcastic or real, it's still communicating with each other and the sarcasm makes it funny sometimes so that can break the ice. I'm thankful and lucky in that I married an angel. I enjoy watching all of your great content. Thank you for the laughs and the insight. I love your honesty.

True story: My cousin was starting menopause and she had skipped her period for like 6 months. She was happy, thought she was done. We met for dinner while I had my monthly and she called me the next day just pissed because I seemingly caused her to have her period. LOL I felt so powerful!! I enjoy your blog and YT channel. Great mood lightener. Keep it up!

I love this episode in particular. The validation of both sides and how each process emotions is SUPER important to any relationship. I, unfortunately, didn't grow up around positive examples and I'm so happy that you set this positive example for your children too. I'm the same way as Sheena where I need my space before I can talk about things and my partner is similar to Trid where they have their mechanisms of even though there was just an argument they show that they're still around when you're ready to talk about it. This was such a great podcast. Thanks for sharing and I can't wait for the next one!

Because there's a third party watching, which is us, they tend to not get angry and be more understanding of each other. They are living a healthy relationship and I aspire to have a relationship like theirs if I ever get into one

Thank you so much for sharing... The REAL. I think it's a combination of both. Irritants, pet peeves, whatever, need to be addressed, but I do like TRID's idea as well. I don't know if it's due to MY A.D.D. but writing down 3 things each partner can work of not doing any more that makes the other person mad. Now, not only has it been spoke out loud for both parties to acknowledge, it is now also written as a visual aid for us visual learners to be accountable in love to show love that you love the your significant other that much that you are both willing to work together to become a better unit together and restrengthen the bond between you. ❤❤❤😊😊😊 love you both. Such a blessing!

For the young folks performing this podcast…there was a morning program, that before it was picked for syndication, and then during syndication and even TODAY, the co-hosts did not speak to each other prior to the start of the show. The avoidance was to be spontaneous in conversation. It was and IS wildly successful. Thank Regis Philbin.

I really enjoyed this. Everyone's way of arguing is different. For me, if it's at night, we still say GOODNIGHT to each other. My 1st husband died in his sleep. I didn't say I love you or goodnight. I have guilt everyday. GOODNIGHT is necessary. Also, each person must be responsible for their OWN actions. An apology is necessary if you hurt someone's feelings. But the ego side, say I'M SORRY. Fight done.

Having a camera doesn't make the kitchen public. You still control what gets posted and how it's edited. It might change the dynamic some degree, knowing you're being recorded. I say try it out for a month and reassess. I think years from now you'll be so glad to have captured these moments and can rewatch them. Before you know it, it won't be the four of you living there anymore. Kids grow up so fast.

No because your wife doesnt want it do not rig your kitchen with cameras. Leave those times to your hearts and your memories. Btw, it sounds like Sheena has quite the busy day and I would imagine much of her inner frustration is the huge job she does day to day with maybe not enough support.

Actually I think the chat's a great idea, yeah the other person's gonna remember what was erased but that's a way for both to work on things that bother the other one, it's better for both to say "Can you work on this 3 things?" so both will work on the things that bother the other, then when you erase something that's already worked it's not gonna be a problem anymore because you already worked on it, then you can work on whatever's next if there's anything and you will grow stronger as a couple, that's like working on your bad habits but as a couple

I once was listening to some guy's house music track on Myspace or whatever, and it wasn't bad so I shot him a little message basically saying "Keep up the good work, kiddo! You've got a knack for this." Come to find out... ... He was a Grammy winning producer and founder of a label. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ So embarrassing. He did message me back tho! Started out friendly enough, saying he saw in my photos that I had a Beagle and how he's got several rescue Beagles, even having flown one across the country from a rescue org. Then it got weird. He kept inviting me to his place in Florida iirc, offering to pay my airfare etc., and my (also female) roommate, as well. He became kind of a pest and I quit messaging with him obviously... But I'm still embarrassed about my initial dorky-ass message of encouragement. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂
