I've had the privilege of seeing Sheena live twice, once around 1988 or 89 when she was promoting The Lover in Me, and around 2007 in a park in Brooklyn. She is one of those very rare artists who sound BETTER LIVE than in her recordings!

I love these shows where artists were to display all their talent with their bands LIVE, no autotune, no sound adjustment. Personally, technology has paradoxically made the industry go that way.

What a back up band she has with her: Pretty sure that is piano player Bruce Hornsby and bassist Joe Puerta who were part of Sheena's tour band before embarking on Bruce Hornsby and the Range later that year. Joe was also a founder of rock band Ambrosia in the 1970s with 5 top 40 hits. Greg Mathieson, with the beard, is one of the synthesizer players -- and he co-wrote the song. He also wrote songs for Laura Branigan, Toni Basil, Donna Summer, and many more. I think the 2nd synth player is Michael Boddicker, a film composer who was awarded a Grammy as a songwriter for "Imagination" from Flashdance in 1984. I think the drummer is Jeff Porcaro of Toto.
