i suspect rubbing it in Sheldon's face was rather intentional...Howard knew what would come next :) of course, Howard could also enjoy the fact Sheldon took back his gift and therefore nullified the apology....if Howard was ever vengeful. something he mentioned once in bed to Leslie Winkle to get access to certain devices at the college.

Howard wasn't entitled to an apology. The FBI were entitled to know about the Mars Rover incident, which proved he really was irresponsible. Sheldon may not have necessarily cared about that, but he did the right thing by informing her, and Howard deserved what he got.

@@maryeverett2266 There's absolutely such thing as both. If you hire someone it's your right to know if they've done something that makes them unsuitable. And deserving something quite literally means that you've done something that would mathematically (though often not ethically) merit an equal response. Next time you get angry about something and deny its existence, please make it something less factual than dictionary definitions of words. Also, a passionate opinion is never ridiculous. It always comes from a genuine place. Making angry KZfaq comments is much more ridiculous.

True but I think Howard was angry in a way like "Why were you complaining about me in the first place." If Sheldon hadn't have done that, the thing about the Mars Rover wouldn't have slipped. And it definitely slipped because you can tell Sheldon didn't mean to say that. Which shows Sheldon had no intention of actually getting Howard in trouble _even though he knew that idiot flipped the Mars Rover._

I always thought the scene with the rumcake was kind of silly. Rum cake has no alcohol in it (the actual alcohol in the rum used in the cake is evaporated while baking,) so you'd think a smart astrophysicist like Raj would be aware of that common knowledge.

Supposed to be evaporated, have consumed foods where the alcohol was supposed to evaporate but was still in it. Also, it was established that drinking alcohol was a placebo effect in the episode on the train!

Actually, the writers themselves, have said that Amy provides a perfect foil to Sheldon's character. Intellectually, she is very similar, which makes it believable that Sheldon would date her, instead of someone like Penny for instance. Unlike Sheldon however, she is very aware of the social life she missed as a child and desires it instead of regarding it with contempt as Sheldon does, which is why she is so fascinated with Penny. Finally, in my personal opinion, they're never going to have sex
