Firefly: Shiny Dice is... a game A really bad board game in fact, which we are covering in this review for some reason. It's a dice rolling, push your luck tabletop game without much push your luck, the game literally has a hard cap at a certain point. You get victory points by doing missions and getting supplies and cargo, and on your turn you have to roll 15 dice to try to match symbols for missions, defeat foes so you don't crash, and smuggle cargo. Seems pretty simple, until you find out that mission cards are drawn after your rolls, balance and mechanics are completely whack for cargo, and there really isn't any strategy here in this autopilot solitaire game. Downtime is bad as there's no player interaction and you get to watch players roll their huge batch of dice in their own isolated copy of Serenity. However, this board game review will at least try and show you more of how our review scale works, and what really low score games potential look like.
