I really like this system. I think grease is far too often purchased because of pretty colors or fancy packaging rather than the proper grease for the application

Hi Patrick... i was wondering if you could explain what shell L-12108 equivalent means. I drive a vehicle with zf 8hp70 transmission which takes a fluid known as lifegaurd 8. Recently there are more aftermarket products available many of which make reference to being "equivalent or meets spec of Shell L-12108". I have been unable to find any specific data on what exactly that means?... thanks

L-12108 i believe is a specific OEM factory fill oil which would fall outside the Shell lubricants normal naming convention

I'm told Shell made a "00" grease that was the color GREEN, can anyone tell me that part number and/or title??

For the Shell “00” grades there the 2 most common are a S5 V460C 00 which is a Red full synthetic lithium complex. There is also an undyed variant of the same S5. Secondly there is a S2 V220 00 which is an undyed mineral oil lithium grease. As for a green 00 potentially one existed 10+ years ago but since phased out.
