I cut it off with my band saw, but a good old fashion hack saw would do in a pinch. I didn’t even cover the bottom. If you dot it right it only leaves a couple of small holes.

I would highly recommend going it a heavier catch spring if you are going to go up on the main spring.

@@projectnerf7920 well the problem is I am new to modding and I do not have any other catch springs. So where could I get one and what one should I get?

I used a 12kg retaliator spring , I’m sure the stock spring would fit but I doubt you would get any gain in performance

Honestly my friend , I don’t remember. It came out of the bin, but I think it was a k55 from McMaster.

Upgrading to a heavy spring will shorten the life of the blaster. But it’s hard to say how much. Braising it should improve performance a bit. And I think an Apollo spring would work, but might need to shorten it some.

Wait how do you brass the shells?? And how much performance will that add?? With a stock spring?

There may be an upgrade seal available for it at this point, I'm not sure. You could try making a slightly thicker one out of craft foam, but I would caution againts it. I have tried a few times on Hammershots, and never got an improvment. I have had a few of them perform worse. What I will say is that the upgrade spring doesn't make it too bad to prime, so long as you don't try to go too crazy. This one's got a k26 and isn't an issue at all really.

I just cut down a retaliator spring. As Gould be able to grab one from Out of Darts or Foamblast.

That was just a cheapo adjustable you can grab on amazon or ebay.

From my experience removing AR's doesn't net much and with the heavier spring load I have found it's best to leave them in to prevent damage if the blaster is dry fired.

Typically, when you go up on the main spring, the stock catch spring will no longer be strong enough for the catch to hold, hence replacement is necessary.

Most of the catch springs I use are leftover springs from blasters that I have scrapped.
