I forgot to mention the Columbia demonstration record that you played is actually from 1909 not 1913 as you mentioned -1909 was the second year of the "double disc" records and you played the second demonstration disc from that year - the first one being issued in 1908 at the beginning of the double sided recorded which was the first used on a 5 layer record - beating Victor to their used of the double sided disc a few months later that year - Henry Schmidt

I love the record smooch that was really funny sometimes with the 1940s and 50s stuff you have to be careful because you too will flag it but keep doing it as long as you can thanks

Love your channel, these Shellac stacks are so much fun! I recently found your channel because I found this Victrola Talking Machine from 1918 at a garage sale which only plays 78s and here we are. Loving my new hobby and I am going to restore the Victrola. It’s really cool discovering music you have never heard before!

I am so glad that you did my request! Billy Murray is awesome and that is probably so worn, but it plays well for a nearly 120 years old record I have heard that these old Monarch records should be played at around 68 revolutions, not 78rpm
