It still wasn’t okay what she did. Georgie seemed to be fine, but Missy has shown that she was upset with her parents for not paying attention to her. Sheldon may have needed more attention and help, but that doesn’t justify her not giving Missy her attention either. Missy got more social skills due to both her parents’ lack of attention towards her. She was always watching what was happening from the outside, so she learned from what she observed. It wasn’t okay, but I do agree that calling her mom a monster is a big too far

It wasn't even broken, it was fractured. I once broke both my arms when I was 12 and still was able to get through life without a servant running around.

I also looked up on google that he's only *9* years old when he goes to high school, so he's still a child, not even a teenager yet so I understand that his mother would still baby him like that especially when his arm is broken. He should've been able to brush his own teeth though since he only broke 1 arm😂

Bet if she's more caring towards Missy and Georgie, they would be annoyed and wouldnt even get to go outside. Sheldon is indeed special, and therefore requires 'special' attention. She always takes good care of em all. Not once did she make breakfast or dinner for Sheldon only, despite being down, moody or angry.

Don’t blame Mary for how Sheldon turned out. Even Mary tried to fix him.

From the clips I have seen of the show, if Missy or Georgie had broken their arm, she wouldn't have been this overbearing.

George was barely around the kids and I know it’s because he has a job but we can’t judge a parent that’s only around for the fun times and a parent that has to actually disciplines them and teach them how to become adults

@sofiethomas3008 George took care of the kids in a lesser quantity but in a way bigger quality. He was the one who was instructing Mary to be more sensitive to Missy when Sheldon and Missy had a huge fight (the one after Missy run away from home). He was handling the situation really well but Mary wanted to prove sth so she just yelled at Missy and caused her to run away. In the whole Missy arc with her rebelling, running away, drinking etc he is the one that cares more, worries more and acts more. His talks with Missy were great and they weren't easy talks. Georgie told his dad first when he got Mandy pregnant and George helped him tell Mary. George also protected Veronica from her abusive stepdad and defended Georgie too. He fucked up a bit when he threw Georgie out but quickly came around. He taught Georgie a lot and had many not fun situations with him. George is also the one that took Sheldon to see the rocket launch and when it rained and it was cancelled he helped Sheldon who was very upset. He also was the one that went to Caltech with Sheldon and he helped him with his phobia about flying. They made the trip and Sheldon learned a coping mechanism that his dad taught him. George was also the one that helped Sheldon to convince Mary that he should be allowed to go to college and was pissed as fuck at Mary that she just decided without his imput. Thanks to George Sheldon was allowed to go to said college. He was also the one who while being tired after work got in the car with the whole family and drove to NASA cause they ignored Sheldon's scientific solution. He demanded a meeting and secured it and Sheldon got what he wanted so badly. George also was against Mary enabling Sheldon - he understood Sheldon is a different child and needs an individual approach but his ideas were both helping Sheldon to be less upset and to be a better person - contrary to Mary. He was the one who took care of Missy when she got her first period while they were alone even though he was uncomfortable af about it. He wasn't a fun dad that gets home plays with his kids and leaves all the discipline to their mom. He cared about all of his kids and helped all of them with their struggles and disciplined them when there was a need to. The more the show progressed and the more the kids were not how Mary wanted them to be the more George was the one they preferred to go to with their struggles and problems. He dealt with them better too and didn't put his frustrations on his family - which was very impressive especially when he was having a terrible time at his job. When Mary was frustrated with her job or actually any of her personal reasons she transferred all of her frustrations to her family and fucked up many situations. She was the reason Missy ran away. And if you consider the times it happened in and the conservative background that Texas give you George was a great father. Mary was a good mom to Sheldon (though even Sheldon later realises she enabled him too much and resents her for it with a good reason). Plus unlike Mary George actually took his kids' input into consideration and did things that were best for *them* not for *him*. He refused much better paid and way more satisfying job because his family didn't want to relocate plus let's take Georgie getting a girl pregnant for example. Mary tried to force Georgie to marry her because she cared more about her reputation at her church than her actual child. George was like "absolutely not you don't have to marry her" and pointed out their marital problems cause Mary was like "but we got married when I got pregnant". Mary didn't pay any attention to Georgie and George was the one that was spending a lot of time with him and was teaching him how to be adult - it was the reason he wanted Georgie to keep playing football even though he knew Georgie is mediocre at it. But he said he just wanted them to spend the time together. When Georgie resign George was mad but he made peace with it cause he knew it was better for his son. Sorry, but George was a great dad. Not the best husband but that's a different problem lol.

What's even sadder is I know a kid who's mom treated him like this, when he was 10 years old he always had to have his mom or older sister literally wipe his butt for him, he mom even bought him an Indiana Jones whip, a REAL LEATHER one, and she got mad at his two older sisters for taking it away from him because he was using it on them! Unlike Mary this boys mom was awful, on he younger daughters birthday she sat both girls down and told them that she only ever wanted sons and that's why their brother was and always would be the favorite and that she wished she only had the son.

@@lindacarrasco7679 the oldest as far as I'm aware is no contact with her parents, they moved states when she was 17 and let her move in with her 20 something year old boyfriend and just live with him, and the other sister lives here with her friends.
