The video features views from the Appalachian Trail as it winds through the southern portion of the Shenandoah National Park. This was the third of three backpacking trips that completed an end-to-end southbound journey through the national park. The spring thru-hikers were much more present during this trip. The leaves filed in the spaces blocking ridgeline views but scenic overlooks are never far off in this Park.
My hiking companions were members of the Chester County Trail Club. I tented near shelters including Hightop Hut, Pinefield Hut, Blackrock Hut, and Calf Mountain Shelter.
