There is no hidden parity on the 5x5 morphix. In fact, you ran into all of the hardest problems you can on it. the even layered ones is where the real problems start lol

I really love this puzzle. I nearly finished the edge pairing and I lost track of the orientation of the puzzle and forgot which faces needed to be rotated, so I had to start from scratch. Overall, excellent puzzle!

Great review! I got the puzzle last week and agree that it's absolutely amazing. One thing you didn't mention is that when you get two flipped edge pieces on the last edge and do the Red Bull algorithm (or one of the other possible algorithms) to fix it, it messes up the top center by swapping the right-side and left-side three-piece lines. On a 4x4x4 it simply rotates the entire center 180 degrees and you can easily fix it by doing R, U, Ri, U five times, but here you need to swap center-edge and center-corner pieces with equivalent pieces from an adjacent center in order to fix it. As such, I leave the last center mixed up when I reduce the edges and only solve it after all of the edges are done (whether with or without the edge parity). Also, the official name of the puzzle is not a Gigamorphix (even though some websites erroneously list it as such), but an Ultramorphix (which you clearly know, since you have this noted in the title). Kind of the same thing as some websites calling a Pyramorphix (2x2x2 Morphix) a Pyraminx - two totally different puzzles :)

We have a 2, 3, 4, and 5 layer morphix Still waiting on my 4 layer Mirror Cube. P.S. There is technically a hidden parity when constructing the last center but is fixed by swapping "identical" center corner pieces such as solid green with solid green or solid red with solid red.

Can you reveal the morphix mech? Shengshou has a Wind and an Aurora 5x5, as well as a LingLong mini 5x5. I have yet to try the Aurora, while the Wind is a very fast and stable cube but it doesn't corner cut a lot. The Linglong is similar to the original (both feel-wise and mech-wise) except maybe slightly better quality and it's 57mm. It's also possible that the morphix is neither a Wind, Aurora or Originall, but a totally different mechanism altogether.
