Sounds like they were right to fear him. And he was just giving them what they had earned. He is the God of Balance , yin and yang. I am certain that he is part of the remnants of Lorkhan. All that power has to go somewhere.

In my opinion he’s the Daedric Prince I’d fear meeting the most, especially with his amount of power and unpredictability.
