If you do the elite four one I'd say you should separate E4 and Champions in two different tournaments because Champions are immensely more popular than the latter and it'll get a bit predictable lol (just saying)

I didn’t especially like Larry, because of his relatability, i don’t even think, he’s that relatable, but I was in awe of him, because the developers chose the funny one out of the 8 gym leaders to be an elite 4 member and not one of the cool/edgy gym leaders. I also liked the fact, that his expertise is actually in flying type Pokémon, but he’s good enough with normal types, that he even got the gym leader spot in the normal gym. I didn’t knew Larry is a meme btw.

Piers is a really cool concept let down by bad execution. 1) He plays a pretty big role in the “Assault Rose Tower because Leon is Late to Dinner” arc, which is the most aggressively terrible story segments in the series, so that probably diminished his coolness factor. 2) The lack of voice acting in Sword and Shield really made any segment where he preforms really hard to follow, I can’t tell what rhythm he’s going for or what he sounds like, so those segments which are supposed to be cool just become frustrating. 3) While Piers is the “first” Dark type gym leader Nanu from Gen 7 was essentially the “the dark gym leader” of Alola even though they didn’t use the title of gym leader, so Piers’ title of “the series first dark gym leader” feels like it has a lot of technicality and asterisks attached. 4) Team Yell is just Team Skull drained of all of the Charisma.

A start mon tournament would be cool and you start it by putting the starters vs their evos

I'm honestly kinda sad and surprised Winona didn't even make it to round two. Personally she's my favourite Flying type gym leader and I find her very ethereal. Especially the fact that she loses against Piers was very anticlimactic. Also how the f did Morty came last in first turn, he's easily a top 10 gym leader. Like we all know there are way too many people distasteful enough to like Skyla, and Brock is a fun character, but when it comes to a COOL design Morty is incredible.

In my opnion Elesa still is the coolest, like Lt.Surge, Watson, Volkner, Clemont and Iono could never serve as much in a catwalk

this just proves the point that larry is relateable I thought he would win but dident I think we can all say there was times we thought we would win but came up short so in a poetic way this loss makes me like larry just a bit more

Imma be honest with you chief, i don't think Geovanni deserved the win, i don't really have a favorite gym leader, but- Geovanni is just pathetic in the kanto games, in the jotho games he's OPTIONAL, and team rainbow rocket in gen 7 was cool, but it was post-game. (Also make stater tournament, but using all of their phases and counting the lesser known starters from side-games)

Maybe it’s because I never watched the anime beyond Johto but I have no idea how Skyla kept making so much progress in the polls. I’m not surprised Raihan lost, I’m surprised he made progress because he’s so annoying and lame. I agree Koga deserved better. I am baffled Faulkner made it to round 2 because he is so incredibly lame.

Personally I think Kanto has the best gym leaders, with Galar being my least favourites by a landslide. They all look so uncanny to me, I really don't get the hype about them, some of them look normal enough but Piers, the isle of armor guys, Gordie and Melony, Ryhan and especially Opal look very off, and I really didn't enjoy their personality either, yet weirdly enough they are almost all fan favourites. I wonder if it's only me or if they are just very polarising.
