My sister and I had terrific parents in the 70's and with my sister being a huge Sherbet fan she and l went to every Sherbet performance possible. We were lucky, for our mum would buy the tickets and would accompany us to the concert, it was magical and fab. Garth Porter was my sister's favourite.

Don't let nostalgia fool you - the 70s was a tough decade - the Vietnam War, the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, the Iranian civil war which brought muslim radicalism to the fore, the massacre at the Munich Olympics, the United Kingdom going bust under socialism, The Baader Meinhof Gang, Black September, the 1976 Ebola crisis, the Watergate scandal - all happened in the 70s - all were very bad - don't forget that the world was no simpler in that decade than this one!!!
